Don't laugh too much !!
I was able to purchase a SANDY QXT 640 in March 2010.

Unfortunately it got a heavy shock during shipment as one can see in this
photo story (read the comment for each picture):

In case this links doesn't works, you can use the link to my main site in
the footer below, then choose "Picture gallery" on the left, then "Sinclair
QL", then "Computers" then "SANDY".

Even I know that nor all cables are connected or soldered right, I've tried
to power it up. The result can be seen in this video:
"Sinclair QL system SANDY QXT 640 powers up but not working"

The current state of my machine is still the same. :-(

Any help highly appreciated.

Cheers, Urs

Hi Urs,

That is a very interesting interface on the top (is it a QTalk module ?). Yours also has a fan fitted which is missing from mine.

On my QXT - the SuperQBoard is in the top slot of the expansion bus, and nothing between that and the QL, so that may be a good starting point.

The SPEM keyboard interface is also interesting - would be nice to get some photos of this for the QL WIki - does it plug into the ROM port?

The QL motherboard itself is unmodified, so I have no idea what that spare wire is for !
