I understand, and I'm very grateful you got as far with all of this as you 
did, which is really quite far.  The new rulers are amazing!

It's just time to throw the Bézier stuff on the list of "cool if it ever 
happens" ideas, and go get something done that I can manage to think through 
in a reasonable amount of time.  That means straight lines and fixed events.

I'm going to mine it for code, but probably not give it dual purposes.
