I find a mixed bag.

On the negative side, I see the scenario I originally expected.  Try to 
select the slur, get the cord.  Try again, get the chord again.  Try 
again, get the chord a third time.  Finally, I find about three pixels I 
can click on to select the slur, if I'm really careful.

On the positive side, once I get the slur selected, it doesn't move.  I 
eventually moved the text by accident, but it was a fluke instead of a 
regular thing.  I never moved the slur by accident.

Accidental moving is vastly improved, selection is more difficult when 
things are jumbled.  That's par for the course with Rosegarden.  Gain 
here, lose there.  Let's try the new balance for awhile and see how it 
performs in normal use.

I haven't reviewed that commit, or any of the other code anybody has 
introduced lately.  I'll catch up soon.  Thanks for taking a stab at 
this anyway, David.  You definitely moved the bar with that.
