Had a look see.  Qt 4.8.7, safe graphics mode (snail icon appears), and 
the LEDs look fine.  4.8.7 is what I already had in 16.04, so that 
hasn't changed.

Now a billion other variables come into play.  Does anyone still care 
about building with Qt4?  Is that really going to plague us?  I know we 
have one guy running Ubuntu 08.04 on computer he hand built from 
recycled garage door openers, but since only 50% of our sample even has 
this problem......
