[kshisen] [Bug 473985] Leaderboard takes only seconds into account to rank times.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=473985 --- Comment #1 from Frederik Schwarzer --- The Score decides the Rank, not the time. I think in the screen shot it is a coincidence that the seconds are ascending. It seems that the scoring changed so that the time is not equivalent with the score between older and new wins. ... [Powerdevil] [Bug 473555] New: Monitor brightness unresponsive when USB drive connected
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=473555 Bug ID: 473555 Summary: Monitor brightness unresponsive when USB drive connected Classification: Plasma Product: Powerdevil Version: 5.27.7 Platform: Debian unstable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: schwar...@kde.org CC: m...@ratijas.tk, natalie_clar...@yahoo.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When I connect a USB drive to my laptop, the screen brightness setting via the Fn keys becomes unresponsive until the USB drive is detected and ready to use (meaning: the notification with the mount options is shown). For some reason this is taking around 10 seconds for some of my USB drives. Then I change the screen brightness settings a lot during that time, all those changes are then "replayed" when the system is responsive again. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. connect USB drive (and hope it takes some time to be ready) 2. in the meantime, change the screen brightness using the Fn keys 3. wonder OBSERVED RESULT The screen brightness does not change (or changes later) EXPECTED RESULT Screen brightness should be responsive regardless of any other Plasma thing waiting for something. The current way to generate games does not make this easy, however. I will give this a go and check if I can reproduce the issue. [kshisen] [Bug 471421] RFE: please provide solution to games
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471421 --- Comment #1 from Frederik Schwarzer --- The algorithm for creating a solvable board is pretty basic. It creates a shuffled board and then tries to actually solve it. Only if it succeeds, the board is used. If you think you found an unsolvable board, can you please use the Undo action until the board is in its initial state and then use Hint and remove the tiles that are shown repeatedly. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430894 --- Comment #13 from Frederik Schwarzer --- Supplemental to earlier post: During investigation I found that apparently I created two CalDAV/CardDAV configs to the same Nextcloud instance. [frameworks-kio] [Bug 430894] Confirmation prompt displayed every time a file is opened on a NextCloud webdav share
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430894 Frederik Schwarzer changed: What|Removed |Added CC||schwar...@kde.org --- Comment #12 from Frederik Schwarzer --- Same here (or rather "similar here"). I set up my local Nextcloud RasPi a few weeks ago and for a few days now, I get that dialog at every KDE startup. The dialog does not say, where it comes from. It just states its message. No hint on where to go to check the address/username. Nothing. Just the message, that I might be scammed and whether or not I want to continue. Futhermore, I do not have Online Services stuff in systemsettings or something configured in dolphin. So I had to grep my home folder for Nextcloud keywords and found some Akonadi files (~/.config/akonadi_davgroupware_resource_5rc) which do not contain any user name in the URL (https://192.168.178.251/remote.php/dav). They do have my user name in the config file though. But how would they connect to my Nextcloud instance otherwise? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[i18n] [Bug 456334] Missing german translations in systemsettings, especially in "appearence","workspace behavior" and "window management" in Plasma 5.25
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456334 Frederik Schwarzer changed: What|Removed |Added CC||schwar...@kde.org --- Comment #1 from Frederik Schwarzer --- Hi, from what I can see in the translation files, the strings you see untranslated are translated here. E.g. "Window Decoration" - translated in the PO file "Desktop Effects" - translated in the PO file "Screen Edges" - translated in the PO file "Virtual Desktops" - translated in several PO files I am using an older version of everything so I cannot check it in the UI but I suspect a different problem than missing translations. > I think you should one and for all find a solution to translate the whole > Desktop Translation (as most things) is an ongoing process. There is no "once and for all" solution. There are over 20 Strings in the GUI and the websites (documentation comes extra) and since applications are evolving, new strings are added or existing strings are changed every day. The German translation has over 4 untranslated strings in the GUI and Websites. So technically, missing translations are not a bug but a lack of contributions. ... Of course we try to have "the desktop" and core applications translated but even that is not always possible. No one in the German translation (probably in any translation) is paid for it. It is just a leisure time hobby if life permits it. Anyway, I digress. So maybe Arch is breaking translations or maybe KDE's release scripts are broken. Could you find a file named kcm_kwindecoration.mo in some path containing /de/ on your system and attach it to this report? Thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Are you looking at the PO file itself? If so, are the strings you mention marked "fuzzy"? In that case it is alright. If the PO system sees a new or changed msgid, it will look for msgstrs from similar msgids and fill them in. [filelight] [Bug 407177] Folder size differs from "du -h"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407177 --- Comment #3 from Frederik Schwarzer --- Hi, I suspect it has something to do with how the boot2qt folder is arranged. Maybe symlinks or hardlinks ... or maybe loads of small files or so. I cannot see it on "normal folders" but I am also not in a position to build a boot2qt image anymore for three reasons. 1. I run Arch now which is not a supported Linux distro for boot2qt (and it fails to build) 2. my current computer has an N5000 CPU with which a boot2qt build will probably run two weeks 3. that computer also only has 250G hard disk space, so I am quite low on free space with my normal system already So if you happen to sit on a Debian/Ubuntu box with a big CPU and some 100G free hard disk space, you could try a boot2qt build and check that folder? These instructions should still work: $> git clone git://code.qt.io/yocto/meta-boot2qt.git $> cd meta-boot2qt $> git checkout v5.15.4-lts $> ./b2qt-init-build-env init --device raspberrypi3 $> export MACHINE=raspberrypi3 $> source setup-environment.sh $> bitbake -s $> bitbake b2qt-embedded-qt5-image $> bitbake meta-toolchain-b2qt-embedded-qt5-sdk The last two commands will take their time. Sorry that I cannot be of more help here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[i18n] [Bug 436564] Discover: DE Translation of "Featured" apps as "Recommended" apps leads to confusion
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436564 Frederik Schwarzer changed: What|Removed |Added CC||schwar...@kde.org --- Comment #1 from Frederik Schwarzer --- I agree that "recommendation" in the context of package management is misleading here, since package manager use this term to give you packages that work together with the package you are trying to install. Not sure about a proper translation here though. Maybe we can get some more opinions? Also is might be good to know what "featured" apps are. Is this a random collection of apps? Or is it a curated list that changed regularly? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[i18n] [Bug 435540] Move to Trash - digiKam 7.3.0
-- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[i18n] [Bug 430599] Too long german translation for 'Open new project' in Kdevelop
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430599 Frederik Schwarzer changed: What|Removed |Added CC||schwar...@kde.org --- Comment #1 from Frederik Schwarzer --- Thanks for the report. This is not a translation issue. This could be shortened to "do something" but then it would not be a translation of the original text anymore. The dialog layout should be fixed so that the length of the string does not "break" it this way. Maybe make it a multi-line text? Other languages might be even longer so making this an issue of one language does not fix anything. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
