Client is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead and drive the value
delivery for a new product development team.  This role is aligned to the
Financial Crimes and Risk Program Delivery management team.

Responsibilities include alignment with business stakeholders, partnering
with cross-functional partners, and owning technical execution to achieve
successful value delivery.  The daily application of agile and lean
principles, championing scrum practices, coaching & training team members
on Agile methodology, and leading continuous improvement to build high
performing teams are key aspects of this position.



Responsibilities:

· Provide leadership building multiple high-performing Agile teams,
coaching team members in the execution of the practices and
responsibilities of their individual roles and as a team together

· Champion the adoption and improvement of Scrum practices on direct and
indirect teams

· Facilitate increment & sprint planning sessions, daily scrum, backlog
refinement, and sprint retrospective meetings.

· Build a trusting, safe environment where problems are raised with an
emphasis on problem solving and team psychological safety

· In partnership with the Product Ownership team, monitor the health and
planning of the sprint backlog and prioritizations of epics, features and
stories as part of the cadence for regular delivery of value to the
organization.

· Document and lead remediation efforts and removal of impediments or
guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to
remove the blocker

· Consistently demonstrate a bias for action with technical aptitude to
deliver customer value

· Collaborate with the Agile Coaching organization to maintain
accountability and compliance with the client defined Agile delivery
methodology

· Leverage Jira and Confluence to elicit and define business and technical
epics, features and stories

· Provide high level team readouts for senior leadership

· Build great partnerships and relationships with globally distributed
cross-functional partners (e.g. Business, Product, Technology, Design,
Architecture, Legal, Compliance, et al.)

· Assure adherence to banking audit and regulatory practices in the
completion of delivered assets to bank and customer users, ensuring full
compliance with corporate standards

· Build, maintain and report on team financials, budget utilization (CapEx
/OpEx), including scope, schedule, and benefit realization reporting.



Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Finance, Banking or
other related field

· Previous experience with coaching business and technology team members
through the adoption of Agile practices.

· Previous experience with Agile collaboration tools e.g. Jira and
Confluence

· Experience organizing and executing team training and mentoring

· Experience with distributed Agile teams

· Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a
software development team utilizing Scrum principles, practices, and theory.

· Experience with XP, Kanban

· Experience with coaching on agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD,
Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing,
Agile Games

· Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team

· Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and
techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach

The Scrum Master will work with and lead a staff of developers. The Scrum
Master/Coordinator will oversee this team’s functionality in the agile
software development methodology, ensuring that they meet the required
milestones. They will be working on a high-profile eContracting project – a
huge initiative for both the business and the industry as a whole. This
will include implementing the integration of their dealership market with
the back-end system. Candidates must have a proven track record of
successfully executing large-scale projects in previous role(s) as a Scrum
Master.



*Day-to-Day Responsibilities:*
• Daily standups – 12 people on average (full team geographically dispersed)
• 2 weeks sprint iterations
• Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments
• Supporting and educating the Product Owner (sits in TX) with respect to
grooming and maintaining the product backlog
• Coaching the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices
• Interaction with 3rd party vendors – UI Development



*Requirements:*
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience working with JIRA software
• Experience coaching/developing other scrum masters/coordinators
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-motivated, organized, and strong leadership skills



*Nice to have:*
• Scrum Master Certification
• Previous experience in the Financial and/or Automotive industry
• Experience with ALM/HP ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)

Job Summary:

The FEP Operations Center is seeking a Scrum Master to lead Agile team(s)
and work with cross-functional software development teams responsible for
delivering data-centric products and services. As part of the On-Demand
Reporting and other Data Matters projects the Scrum Master will work with
end users, business analysts, architects, data integration development,
reporting development, testing, training, and infrastructure teams to plan
and complete the project with agile, incremental deliveries within the
overall project timelines. The Scrum Master will work with our leadership
and project manager to leverage Agile best practices, including Scrum,
Kanban and Scrumban, to successfully deliver data-centric projects in an
efficient and effective manner. Scrum Master is expected to report and work

The individual must have prior work experience as a Scrum Master on at
least three Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence or Analytics projects.



This individual will be primarily working with the scrum team, project
manager, product owners, extended teams, and management team at the FEP
Operation center, to support agile delivery and build high performing agile
teams:



Responsibilities: will include, but not be limited to:

•Daily Scrum execution for multiple Scrum teams.

•Tailoring and following the Agile Play Book and Process at
FEPOC to support delivery of data centric projects.

•Facilitate Planning, Grooming, Retrospectives and other Scrum
ceremonies.

•Work with project manager, product owner, and extended teams
to ensure seamless delivery.

•Support culture change to improve delivery agility.

•Coaching to team members who are new to Scrum and Agile

In this key role, we are looking for a Scrum Master that is passionate
about Agile and helping the organization embrace scrum principles and Agile
development best practices in order to drive the successful, on-time and
high quality delivery of product development activities and internal
technical operations initiatives

The scrum master is responsible for leading and coaching multiple platform
and application development teams, coordinating and scheduling team
ceremonies, measuring progress and monitoring team performance (scope,
schedule, quality) and coordination with other scrum masters and subject
matter experts to resolve impediments and understand key inter-team
dependencies.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the scrum framework
and is able to articulate scrum concepts and their value based on prior
experience.

*Responsibilities*

·  Serving as scrum master for 2-3 teams, providing guidance to teams and
organization on how to apply Agile/Scrum best practices in a way that
allows for client to respond to customer and product needs with high
predictability and quality.

·  Collaborating with the Product Owner to ensure backlogs are groomed and
maintained.

·  Organizing and facilitating daily stand-ups, requirement estimation,
sprint & release planning, demos, retrospectives and other related team
meetings.

·  Tracking and reporting of all relevant team performance metrics to
ensure organizational transparency, including but not limited to team
velocity, sprint & release status.

·  Proactively identifying and removing team impediments thru consistent
focus on creative problem solving by the team, as well as thru
collaboration with appropriate subject matter experts and decision makers.

·  Ensuring team tracking tools and relevant documentation are maintained
and current at all times.

·  Building and promoting an open, trusting and respectful team
environment; facilitating discussion, collaborative decision making and
conflict resolution.

·  Ongoing assessment of the Scrum maturity of the team(s) and
organization; coaching the team to higher levels of maturity in order to
get the most out of self-organization, at a pace that is sustainable and
appropriate for the team and organization.

·  Providing support to the team(s) using a servant leadership style
whenever possible, and leading by example

·  All other duties as assigned.

 *Requirements*

·  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related
field.

·  A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web
development projects, with a minimum 2 years of experience serving in a
scrum master role leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced services
environment.

·  Experience leading multiple (2+) teams concurrently, with direct
responsibility for tracking & reporting on key metrics.

·  Knowledge of and/or experience with Kanban a plus

·  Foundational understanding of iterative development fundamentals, and
the value of metric reporting.

·  Demonstrated ability to apply best practices re: backlog management,
capturing burndown & velocity metrics and task-level definition/estimation.

·  Hands-on experience with other development methodologies and ability to
leverage these techniques as appropriate to strengthen team productivity
and deliverable quality.

·  CSM or ACP certification preferred.

·  Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

·  Strong judgment, with the ability to make quick, yet sound decisions and
follow through.

·  Must be self-motivated, proactive and able to work well under pressure
to manage competing demands.

the Iteration Manager collaborates with various stakeholders, user

*Role accountabilities*



1. Continuously monitors team throughput and/or velocity to achieve
iteration goals and

commitments; leads the team to deliver high-quality software

2. Uses technical and functional knowledge to remove roadblocks within the
standing team and

identify any technical risks that might have an impact on the delivery
(risks with architecture,

design, patterns, performance, security, etc.); communicates obstacles
requiring outside

resolution to the Project Manager

3. Facilitates effort or design estimates with the team to support
iteration, release and project

delivery within the Business Solution Area (BSA)

5. Helps to drive skill uplift through the coaching of team members

Undergraduate studies (bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred) in

information systems, computer science or a related field.  Technical work
experience in the IT field.

Understanding of Agile concepts, practices and values



• At least eight years of technical work experience in the information
technology field

• Two or more years of experience working within an iterative software
development environment

• Two or more years experience collaboratively leading an agile software
development team while possessing a solid understanding of Agile concepts,
practices and values

• Experience using tools like IBM Rational Team Concert, Clarity, etc.
