Anyhow ... apparently Bush, prior to his big booze "bust," got a tad pissed
whilst havin' a few toasts with an Aussie Tennis Legend ... so, i figure the
guy can't be all THAT BAD !!! At least he seems to be more of a
down-to-earth character than his opponent. Gore on the other hand, appears
to strut the stage like he's dragging a pineapple of sizable dimension
betwixt his rectal passage.

BTW - i don't have my Rosetta Stone with me today, nor the Cipher Key, so I
have no idea what all the other crypto stuff is about ... in the rest of
your post ... ???

The media over this way ... seem to be in favour of Gore ... i can't see
that a Bush "win," is a foregone ... anyone's guess really ... "lesser of
two evils" is still the only real option being given ... imo ... Bush seems
the better choice, lower taxes and more of a peacemaker ... but the press
influence certainly appears to be behind Gore. Anyhow ... by the time this
e-mail surfaces ... you Yanks will probably know the outcome and have a
winner ... the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Hmmm ... now where's that Fosters ... ???

BRP!!!

Clinton is not responsible for the economy, Greenspan is the one person
most responsible for the economy. This "booming economy" is booming for
those wealthy enough to be in the top 10% or so on the economic scale, those
of us less fortunate are actually loosing buying power. The reason the GNP
is growing is because the rich are getting richer, not because poorer folks
are making a better living as the clinton bunch would like you to think,
finding facts about that is very easy ...

Specifically the fact that since 1993, a large population of skilled workers have been
'downsized', and are
now forced to work temporary and/or part-time jobs -- and usually more than one job
just to make ends meet --
that provide little or no benefits like medical insurance or paid sick leave. But
because they are employed,
the administration uses this to claim we have a booming economy with low unemployment.

What they aren't reporting is the huge increase in under-employment. It is a smoke
and mirrors trick.

From: "Terry" [EMAIL PROTECTED]
But then that's Ok cause we keep getting these Fast Food
Restaurants on every street corner for job security.

Same scenario in New England. I've been wondering
whether the reason unemployment stats are so good is, besides
them cooking them for political and public consumption, that
this younger workforce is on welfare, disability and/or sheltered
work programs. It would be easy to take them out of the workforce
calculation, or into it, as needed and whenever needed. Like those
trust fund IOU's.

Well, I can tell you how they are now handling it in Connecticut. It used to be that
if you were collecting
unemployment, but worked at a job (even part time) that paid you more than your weekly
unemployment allotment,
you were still kept on the books, still had to report your status weekly. In
otherwords, the Unemployment
Commission wasn't paying you anything because you had earned more than the Commission
allowed, but you were
still on the books as 'unemployed'. This took into consideration the fact that many
people take temporary or
part-time work just to get their foot in a door of a company, in hopes that perhaps
they will eventually be
hired on as full-time employees; or just that often-times one can get a part-time job
that pays more than what
unemployement gives out.

Now, if you report earnings over your weekly allotment for four weeks in a row, you
are now automatically
removed from the books. So people who are getting by with a part-time job that just
happens to pay them a
little over what unemployment was paying are now reported as 'employed'...and hence,
we now are presented with
a rosy picture of 'full employment', ignoring the fact that many of the people who are
reported as being
employed are working part-time, sometimes multiple part-time jobs just to make ends
meet. Or they are working
as temps. Both types of 'employment' pay a fraction of what full-time, permanent
positions would pay, and
offer little, if any, benefits. But it is an economic boom for the big companies, who
don't have to pay the
salaries and cost of benefits to maintain a full-time workforce of employees.

At least Clinton/Gore balanced the budget for a change, as opposed to
300 Billion + deficits and sluggish economy during the Reagan/Bush years.

Carter was too blind to figure out the future effects of inflation. We bit
the bullet for a couple years until we had a run of prosperity.

Now we have an booming economy,

Yes

 and a budget surplus.

Heh heh heh... I.O.U.'s

 I guess some
would like to return to the failed ways of the past. Get a few
 hundred more
dollars back from a tax cut,

Clinton either lied, told us what we wanted to hear or didn't know what the
hell he was promising us. I think it was all of the former. I curious as to
where all this money is coming from with all these new programs Gore is
promising us.

 with higher interest rates,

Didn't Greenspan hike interest rates a while back???

 higher unemployment,

Well we've got alot of jobs...too bad they don't pay spit.

 soaring medical costs, etc.

Heh heh heh...evidently you haven't looked at your paycheck stub recently or
don't have any hospitalization. Mine increases 50 cents per hour next week
and they informed us it will go up another 20 cents per hour next June.

Just give the big companies a big tax break
and everything will be ok! I think you are dreaming...

You're gonna have to get back in this reality. Something has to be done
here. In Michigan we've had a bustling economy but...in our local area alone
we've lost a General Motors Plant 8000 workers, most of the production
facilities at Kellogg's Cereals, we had a Monsanto merger with
Pharmacia/Upjohn with over 2000 jobs lost and we're waiting on the rumored
American Home Products buyout/merger where they buyout and trash what they
don't want. But then that's Ok cause we keep getting these Fast Food
Restaurants on every street corner for job security.

I remember when James Blanchard (democrat) was last Governor here, things
seemed peachy until our 16 billion dollar debt caught up with us. John
Engler(republican) found the "books were cooked" cleaned up the debt and put
us on a surplus. We could have a rude awakening if Bush gets in and has a
bunch of "Pro's" sort through the books that were handled by Clinton's
Cronie's. Bush is smart enough to surround himself with qualified
professionals and not "good old buddies".

I still like to say I'm non-partisan but enough is enough. We need a little
bit of both but it's time to get a republican in there to sort through it
all and see what we've really got. Gore's making too many promises and
trying to be too many things to too many people just like Clinton did. He's
telling us what we want to hear.

Re: [CTRL] Bush Finally Admits DUI Arrest

2000-11-04 Thread Jenny Decker

-Caveat Lector-

I have just a few problems with this DUI story. One, Dubya's verbal evasions
refer to it only as the "mistakes" made in his "youth." Despite the fact
that, as we get older, we tend to see all significantly younger people as
"young," I think most people, myself included, don't include age 30--the age
at which Dubya drank and drove (and got caught, because if he got caught
once, statistics say he did it a hundred times more) in the concept of
"youth." Gosh, those "youngsters" are usually thought of as teenagers. I
think we need to investigate the Texas troupers' records of later
years--including arrests that Daddy Bush had wiped--rather than just
reacting to this one report.
Second, Bush has said he stopped drinking '14 years ago"--which would
make him 40--10 years AFTER the arrest. He says of the arrest "I learned my
lesson!" but apparently the learning took 10 years to sink in. In between
times, he appears to have been adrinkin' and adrivin', and just not atellin'
Ole Daddy Bush. If dumbbell Dubya is elected, and it takes him ten years to
learn a lesson, he'll be out of office before he "larns his lesson!" if he
makes mistakes that cause disaster to the country wrong-headed enough to
elect him.
Why is this important? For one thing, WHERE ARE THE MOTHERS AGAINST
DRUNK DRIVERS--MADD--IN THIS DISCUSSION? HOW HAVE THEY BEEN SILENCED?
Presently, drinking and driving is viewed as a heinous and irresponsible
crime. In California, where I live, ONE DUI ARREST ( at only .08 blood
alcohol--Dubya's was .12--half again as high) will cost drivers automatic
license revocation for three months, AND they need to go to behaviorial
school, AND they get mopped through the court system for a year, the
insurance company cancels them and they need special insurance policies.
'Two friends told me ruefully that their (first and only) DUIs cost them
$10,000 apiece. Jail is also a possibility for the judge to impose.
Why aren't these "concerned mothers" speaking up? Have they been either
bought off--or terrorized into silence--by Dubya's campaign coerscion
specialists?
Parallel question: what about Dubya's compulsive tastes for cocaine?
WHERE ARE ALL THE PEOPLE WHO SOLD IT TO HIM WHERE ARE ALL THE
ACQUAINTANCES WHO KNEW DAMN WELL WHAT HE WAS DOING!!! Same question: by what
strongarm methods have THEY been silenced during the election?
The first election I remember directly is the 1960 one, Kennedy vs.
Nixon. Every election from that one forward has eloquently demonstrated that
each side plays dirty pool; I cheerfully admit that the political process
largely disgusts me. Yet I cannot EVER remember a candidate so OBVIOUSLY
DERELICT, lamebrained, owned-by-conniving-corporate-interests and
MOTIVATIONALLY AND INTELLECTUALLY unqualified as Bush is. I can only assume
that the largescale corporate ownership of the media has put a blockade
between the truth about this degenerate scumbag and the public's need to
know, and a falsifying spin on every embarassing fact that nevertheless
manages (as this DUI story did) to escape the censorship barricade. I only
wish all the mothers and neighborhood activists who scream so loudly against
"drunk drivers!" and "protecting our children against drugs!" would scream
now.

 Steve W,
Perhaps I should have been more specific... I meant, a problem involving
**drinking and driving**, that precipitated your 24 year old report of DUI
arrest, which is the topic of this thread of discussion. Also, he
[Bush]
says he hasn't been under the influence of demanding alcohol in 14 years.
That's quite a while ago. Fourteen years is plenty of time to "get over
it". So what's your point??? He got the rehab he needed, obviously...
and
does not still have the problem, so he says. WHY beat a dead horse? The
subject is moot at this point.

This kind of political mud slinging is exactly what I do not understand
about the 'new democrats', i.e... bringing up stuff that happened "x"
many years ago, as if it is still the problem today. I know many people
who are quote **FORMER** alcoholics and function just fine in their jobs
today, successfully, without a drink even under stress. I also know
many
who have previously had some psychological problems, but, again, function
normally and without problems today. Everyone tells the person who needs
help to go to rehab. They go, and are rehabilitated, or rehabilitate
themselves, yet everyone still points and accuses as though the problem
 still exists.

What's your point? except to attempt to defamate the candidate you see as
 least fit.

I think we should vote for neither one of the
major candidates up for grabs...
Neither has the guts, nor the brains to stand up
to some of the criminal leaders in the world. What we need is a
REAL CROOK of a president! One who is not afraid to lie, steal and
cheat. A holy president will get us no where fast. The first
onslaught of terror, and either of these guys is bound to melt at a
confrontation.
We need a president who can take the world by the balls, and show
the world that the US, is not the draft dodging, pantywaisted,
sex fiends that thelame duckpresident has frequently shown in
the past. NOW... WHO of the two major candidates running can stand up to
this test... ?
NEITHER.

So I may just go cast my vote for TED NUGENT and hope the rest of the

At least Clinton/Gore balanced the budget for a change, as opposed
to 300 Billion + deficits and sluggish economy during the Reagan/Bush
years.Carter was too blind to figure out the future effects of inflation. We
bitthe bullet for a couple years until we had a run of
prosperity. This explains the
Reagan year economics I would think, it's how I remember it. Didn't Reagan
have a tax cut in order to stimulate the inflated economy?
 Now we
have an booming economy,Yes and a budget surplus.Heh heh heh...
I.O.U.'s

==Surplus is only on paper; statistics
lie
 I guess
some would like to return to the failed ways of the past. Get a
few hundred more dollars back from a tax cut,Clinton either
lied, told us what we wanted to hear or didn't know what thehell he was
promising us. I think it was all of the former. I curious as towhere all
this money is coming from with all these new programs Gore ispromising
us.
He lied, like he has with so many
other items, AND told us what we wanted to hear, like with so many other
items.

The money is perhaps coming
from"expected savings" from belt-tightening and other smoke-and-mirrors
tricks.
 with higher interest
rates,Didn't Greenspan hike interest rates a while back???
higher unemployment,Well we've got alot of jobs...too bad
they don't pay spit.

==Haven't you heard of all the
layoffs in the communicaitons industries in the past 2-3
years?? soaring medical costs, etc.Heh heh
heh...evidently you haven't looked at your paycheck stub recently ordon't
have any hospitalization. Mine increases 50 cents per hour next weekand they
informed us it will go up another 20 cents per hour next June.==Soaring primarily because of malpractice
insurance, which is rising because doctors/hospitals do things like amputate the
wrong foot (Tampa General).
Just give the big companies a big tax break and everything
will be ok! I think you are dreaming...
You're gonna have to get back in this reality.
Something has to be donehere. In Michigan we've had a bustling economy
but...in our local area alonewe've lost a General Motors Plant 8000 workers,
most of the productionfacilities at Kellogg's Cereals, we had a Monsanto
merger withPharmacia/Upjohn with over 2000 jobs lost and we're waiting on
the rumoredAmerican Home Products buyout/merger where they buyout and trash
what theydon't want. But then that's Ok cause we keep getting these Fast
FoodRestaurants on every street corner for job security.

Same scenario in New
England. I've been wondering whether the reason unemployment stats are so
good is, besides them cooking them for political and public consumption, that
this younger workforce is on welfare, disability and/or sheltered work
programs. It would be easy to take them out of the workforce calculation,
or into it, as neededand whenever needed. Like those trust fund
IOU's. I remember when James Blanchard (democrat) was last
Governor here, thingsseemed peachy until our 16 billion dollar debt caught
up with us. JohnEngler(republican) found the "books were cooked" cleaned up
the debt and putus on a surplus. We could have a rude awakening if Bush gets
in and has abunch of "Pro's" sort through the books that were handled by
Clinton'sCronie's. Bush is smart enough to surround himself with
qualifiedprofessionals and not "good old buddies".

===Shades of Whitewater. And
don't forget Cattlegate.I still like to say I'm non-partisan but
enough is enough. We need a littlebit of both but it's time to get a
republican in there to sort through itall and see what we've really got.
Gore's making too many promises andtrying to be too many things to too many
people just like Clinton did. He'stelling us what we want to hear.

===For sure. While Republican in
leaning, I am voting more against Gore than I am for Bush. One big reason
is that I feel Gore is more pro-UN and pro-nationalism and pro-New World
Order/One World Government and I am decidedly not.

So I agree with G. Virtuoso's comment,

IF ONE HAD TO CHOOSE THE "LESSER OF TWO EVILS," WHICH IS
ESSENTIALLY THE GAME PLAN ANYWAY ... YOU'D HAVE TO GO WISH BUSH ...
SURELY???

We are about to lose the bill of rights and constitution
with Clinton Goreand Democratic Party!
We already have lost them, the
loss is just not apparent yet.
Well why don;t someone
ask Gore and Clinton if they are Communists? They aretraitors!
=The definition of a traitor used to, years
ago, include selling out one's country's financial interests to
foreigners. Like NAFTA. Iagree they are traitors.

We know what stress did to Clinton. ;-)
==It was hardly "stress"! It
was purely lust and opportunity. Now the whole world, present and
future, will remember him for this. He deserves that; it is nothing
more than the truth. Then
there's the Lincoln Bedroom shame.

You're running in your first election for City
Council in a crowded field of 26 candidates. Nine will be elected. The No. I
local anchorman comes on T.V. at about 9:15 PM and announces that you're going
to do very well for a first time candidatehe flashes on the screen that
you're running 12th; only three places from victory. Such a finish would give
hope to all who were daring to fight city hall. Earlier in the
evening, a liberal-leftist hometown university professor who was analyzing
early returns for another local TV station had projected that your arch-rival,
and his allya sweetheart of the anti-God portion of the establishmentwas
headed towards defeat. But HO-L-L-L-D EVERYTHING !!!At
approximately 9.45 PM the same anchorman announces that there has been a
computer breakdown. 45 minutes later when the computers come back up, a
massive switch has occurred. You and 7 other feisty challengers have fallen to
the very bottom of the heap The establishment sweetheart has jumped into a
winning positionagainst all odds. Despite unprecedented public
dissatisfaction, the same oldfaces are elected once again. Many conclude that
"you just can't fight city hall. " Things have worked out just great for all
those entrenched politicians who seemed to be the object of such public
dissatisfaction right up to election day. The next morning, you scan the
papers in vain for any mention of the computer breakdown no record for
posterity. The above scenario is my storybut it was happening in
dozens of places all across the nation. It was 1979 and a new day had quietly
dawned in America - UNVERIFIABLE, RIGGABLE computerized vote
  tabulation.
  Ballots for
BulletsWhen I was small I remember my Dad saying
how in other countries they would shoot each other to decide the transfer of
power. In our country it was done by the ballot at election time.
Millions of American soldiers have fought and bled and died to protect
your right to free and fair elections; to protect your right to an orderly,
peaceful transfer of power when the people so will.
  How Your Parents' Votes Were
CountedOnce upon a time, Americans voted by Paper
Ballot. At the end of the day after the polls had closed, neighborhood people,
Democrats and Republicans, worked together to count the votes in the precinct
(polling place) BEFORE the votes left that precinct. The count was then posted
at the precinct polling place for all to see. This is the only way to
insure a verifiable election. Variations of method are possible, but the
elements of physical ballots which are counted and posted at the precinct
before the ballots leave each precinct are essential to insure a fair and
honest count. To rig an election with the above safeguards built in,
one would have to bribe many hundreds of neighborhood people, including key
Democrats and Republicans in each precinct you hoped to rig. Finally, the
group of people bribed at each precinct would only have access to a tiny
fraction of the vote. There would be no hope of throwing an election from a
central location with the push of a button.
  The Greatest Cover-up
  Begins About 1974 a
sinister development was in full swing all over the United States. In many
areas, especially high population regions, the votes were no longer being
counted in the precincts by neighborhood people. The switch was on to computer
vote counting systems. Typical was Cincinnati, Oluo where votes were bundled
up immediately after the polls closed and sent to a mysterious centra computer
room to be counted by secret computer codes. To add insult to injury, the
votes were counted away from the watchful eye of the entire electorate and the
press.Despite the brutal cover up that has been conducted for
going on date decades by the newsmedia and the major parties to prevent you
from hearing about this issue, some major media news items have appeared. In a
rare but superb news story on the eve of the 1988 Presidential election, Dan
Rather (CBS Evening News) engaged in this exchange with computer expert Howard
  J. Strauss of Princeton University: Rather- "Realistically, could
the fix be put on in a national election?" Strauss: "Get me a job with
the company that writes the software for this program. (ed-
Strauss was referring to the most common computer program in use) Then
I'd have access to one third of the votes. Is that enough to fix a general
  election?"

At least Clinton/Gore balanced the budget for a change, as opposed to
300 Billion + deficits and sluggish economy during the Reagan/Bush years.

Now we have an booming economy, and a budget surplus. I guess some
would like to return to the failed ways of the past. Get a few hundred more
dollars back from a tax cut, with higher interest rates, higher
unemployment,

soaring medical costs, etc. Just give the big companies a big tax break
and everything will be ok! I think you are dreaming...

  Steve
you believe that?
We are about to lose the bill of rights and constitution with Clinton Gore
and Democratic Party!

[CTRL] Bush Finally Admits DUI Arrest

(What else is Bush not telling us? --SW)

Bush aides acknowledge 1976 DUI charge

November 2, 2000
Web posted at: 7:41 p.m. EST (0041 GMT)

From staff and wire reports

GLEN ELLYN, Illinois -- Aides to Texas Gov. George W. Bush
acknowledged Thursday that in 1976 Bush was arrested for driving under
the influence of alcohol in Kennebunkport, Maine.

Bush, who was 30 at the time, paid a $150 fine and his driving privileges
were temporarily suspended in that state.

Responding to a news report about the arrest just five days before the
presidential election, one aide here said, "We obviously believe the timing
of this disclosure is political. It was leaked with the intent of hurting the
governor."

Campaign officials for Democratic presidential candidate Al Gore declined
to comment.

"It's not something he's proud of," Bush spokeswoman Mindy Tucker said,
explaining why Bush had not come forward with the information on his own.

Bush was pulled over by police for driving too slowly near his family's
Kennebunkport, Maine, summer home during the Labor Day weekend.
Other people were in the car, but Tucker did not know who.

The GOP presidential nominee has said he quit drinking the day after his
40th birthday -- July 6, 1986. Alcohol "was beginning to compete for my
affections," he told an interviewer in September.

His presidential campaign said Thursday they decided to release details
after the 1976 police report was faxed to Maine news outlets.

CNN Correspondent Candy Crowley and The Associated Press
contributed to this report.

Except this time, it is the "Evil of Two Lessers." :)
When I think of either of them being on TV almost daily, I think I shall take up
drinking! It will certainly get the set turned off at my house. That
thought is painful--watching the news and there one of them will be, Gore
telling lies a 9 year old would not believe or Bush mispronouncing 10th grade
vocabulary words before the whole world. We are in for a bad time
of it for the next four years. Pray for a miracle! It is not worth
much but I shall go to vote just to let them know people are watching and do not
approve. A heavy third party voting should at least give them a moment or
two of wondering why they did not get those votes, too. Nah! They
won't care but we can see how many of us are disgusted and vote our conscience
even if it is "wasting" a vote.

Re: [CTRL] Bush Finally Admits DUI Arrest

2000-11-02 Thread Eagle 1

-Caveat Lector-

Steve W,
Perhaps I should have been more specific... I meant, a problem involving
**drinking and driving**, that precipitated your 24 year old report of DUI
arrest, which is the topic of this thread of discussion. Also, he [Bush]
says he hasn't been under the influence of demanding alcohol in 14 years.

I also know many
who have previously had some psychological problems, but, again, function
normally and without problems today. Everyone tells the person who needs
help to go to rehab. They go, and are rehabilitated, or rehabilitate
themselves, yet everyone still points and accuses as though the problem
still exists.

What's your point? except to attempt to defamate the candidate you see as
least fit.

I reiterate, it doesn't matter who wins...
We're all losers in the final analysis,
on the day that either of these yahoos is sworn to office.

But Bush did have a chronic problem with alcohol and is apparently an
alcoholic, who claims he does not drink or do drugs anymore. Ok, but I
have to wonder how he will do under stress. We know what stress did to
 Clinton. ;-)

Anyone wishing to "see" for themselves, the Bush DUI article...
for mudslinging politics as usual
Please go to:
http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/nm/20001102/ts/bush_arrest_dc_5.html

-snip-
Bush, running neck-and-neck with Democratic rival Al Gore (news - web
sites), also questioned the timing of the report -- five days before the
Nov. 7 election -- saying, ``I have my suspicions.''

The Gore campaign has denied any involvement in leaking the news.

``I'm not proud of that. I've often said that years ago I made some
mistakes,'' Bush told reporters. ``I regret that it happened. But it did ...
I stopped drinking 14 years ago and I haven't had a drop since.''

Asked why he had not disclosed the incident earlier, Bush said:

``I didn't want my girls to do the same thing. I'm not trying to get away
with anything. I didn't want to talk about this in front of my daughters. I
didn't want them drinking and driving. It was a decision I made.''

Bush said he was arrested after a drinking session with former Australian
tennis star John Newcombe. In the car as well were Newcombe's wife and two
other people.

Bush campaign spokeswoman Karen Hughes said Bush, who was 30 at the time,
pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving while under the influence,
paid a $150 fine, and had his license temporarily suspended in the state of
Maine.

 Steve W,
Perhaps I should have been more specific...

What's your point? except to attempt to defamate the candidate you see as
 least fit.

I reiterate, it doesn't matter who wins...
We're all losers in the final analysis,
on the day that either of these yahoos is sworn to office.

These allegations have been on the Internet for many months. Someone
sent an email about a G. Bush or something like that arrested for drunk
driving in Maine. Bush's press secretary admitted today she was aware of
his previous arrests (actually two, one in his earlier, earlier youth for
stealing a wreath from a hotel).

I think the real issue here is Bush's lack of truthfulness and openness about
his past, some of which is part of the public records. (Maybe he assumed it
had been expunged due to his father's status) The lack of his foresight in
not releasing this information about his arrests earlier shows his lack of
leadership and yes, intelligence. Bush is not ready for prime time.

Can he even read? Has he been tested? :-)

And please, let's don't leave anyone out, as we've known for eight long
years that Albert Gore isn't ready for prime time either.

I still vividly remember video of AL GORE, visiting with William Jefferson
Clinton, in 1992, at the Jefferson memorial, pointing up to the
president's busts that lined the round office of the former founding father,
and Big Al asking:

AUSTIN, Texas, September 13, 2000 (ENS) -
A Texas judge has rejected a motion to dismiss Republican
presidential nominee Governor George W. Bush from a civil
rights lawsuit brought by environmental groups
and individual protesters.
The suit was filed against the Texas governor by
citizens who were arrested and jailed last spring for
protesting Bush's environmental policies on the public
sidewalk in front of the Texas Governor's Mansion.

Intresting that they advocate the common man

Kissinger and Bush seem to advocate the status quo
it seems as if they do not believe in change either.

Is a Vote for BUSH a Vote For ASPARTAME?
  You decide...

First, came the inaction of an unethical Federal Prosecutor in the late
  1970s:

Samuel Skinner is the U.S. Attorney taking G.D. Searle,
[inventors of aspartame] officials to court on behalf of the Food and
Drug Administration, for lying about aspartame's deadly results in the
falsified lab tests - a grave Federal offense.
Prosecutor, Samuel Skinner then "defected" - left his government
post and crossed over - to work for those same people he was taking to
court, G.D. Searle's lawfirm, Sidley Austin.
He later left Sidley Austin to insinuate his way back into government
as head of the U.S. Department of Transportation [over the FAA
  pilots].

Where did the former U.S. Attorney/Dept. of Transportation Dir. go next?

The following is a brief excerpt from the feature magazine
  article in Washington D.C.'s SPOTLIGHT April 6, 1992 pg 14-15 -- also
this and more was discussed on the January 21, 1992 broadcast on The
Spotlight's nightly call-in talk forum, Radio Free America, hosted by
  Tom Valentine:

Headline: "Media Ignores Scandals Close to President Bush's Campaign"

"It was President Bush's son, George W. Bush who suggested
Samuel Skinner be named White House chief of staff. Son, George W. Bush
said Skinner was so capable, yet if you look at Skinner's record . . .
you'll find several cases where he wasn't looking out for the
  protection of the American people.
Photo with article captioned: George W. Bush . . . High on Skinner."
Also in the report: "While her husband served as President Bush's
White House chief of staff, Mrs. Samuel Skinner remained employed by
Sidley Austin, G.D. Searle pharmaceutical's lawfirm.
Major conflict of interest? Read on . . .

Two examples of Bush's arrogant actions leading up to his
  nomination as a Presidential Candidate:

In 1995, ignoring approximately 50,000 phone calls from
consumers to his Austin office, asking him to "Veto" the notorious
"Agricultural Anti-Defamation Act" [the one which allowed the Beef
Industry in Texas to sue Oprah Winfrey], Texas Gov. George W. Bush
refused to support his constituents, and allowed the unjust law to go
into effect without his signature or veto.

Dallas-based Aspartame Consumer Safety Network and Pilot
Hotline, [the grassroots multi-national organization formed by former
State Judge, Mary Nash Stoddard and Washington consumer advocate,
James Turner, Esq. in 1987 to promote food safety and consumer
awareness] blitzed the media, in the spring of 1995, with interviews
exposing this bill for being not only unnecessary
[existing libel laws in Texas are more than adequate], but also
dangerously un-Constitutional - taking away our Freedom of Speech.
[Mainstream Media was on ACSN's side in this battle, calling it
primarily a First Amendment / Freedom of the Press issue.]

Texas Gov.George W. Bush ignored the public outcry, and
allowed the law [jeeringly referred to in the press as the
"Bush Veggie Bill"] to go into effect, September 1, 1995.
When the Beef Industry tried to sue Oprah under this law in
Amarillo, Texas, they lost their case.

Recently reported by the national media, are these George W.
