Been there... done that Had some MAJOR success, but it started to look like I was going to OWN it if I kept it up... So I didn't. This was in the E-smith 4.12 days. I embarked on it because Anaconda is SUCH an obscufated peice of crap with WAY too many points of failure. I opted to do a PGI (piggy) installer, and it worked. Nowadays, our in-house servers are all installed with a stripped-down knoppix build. Very little LEFT of the original e-smith in it, and my knowledge of e-smith nowadays is limited. However we DO have lots of server space. If enough people want to come out and play, I'll happily accomodate the project. Would have saved me some trouble building and/or testing and posting errata packages. I was actually just preparing some for today. Perhaps Hsing would consider reviving the project? I may even consider reviving the project myself, but not in the short term because I don't have enough time right now.
