[Dx4win] Possible software glitch?

Hi doing a LOTW submission-

Logbook of the world is using one contact to confirm a new mode and new band

Dx4win is using two contacts to do the same thing 
Dx4win submitting one qsl for  FT 8 mode  on 10m band -already confirmed CW SSB

Dx4win is using  other QSL  17m  QSL for new band only 

What I did here remove the 10 m FT 8 for mode and I added the mode to 17 m new 
band QSL -1 qsl 

I now match LOTW

THE 10 M FT8 would only be a band fill in my log?

Is Dx4win being redundant?

Both contacts were confirmed on LOTW same day

Thank you so much for the replies.
Always good to have extra tools in the toolbox you never seem to have enough lol
Right now I don’t even know if I’m looking for a file for just a button I have 
to push.
Looking at “help” I don’t see how CW announce works (calling out needed 
incoming spots)
How do you troubleshoot it when it’s not working?

[Dx4win] CW announce, nil

Hi , I got the voice announce working by allowing Windows media files to open 
it ,from the Sound file in Dx4win save
I don’t see where the CW files are and how to activate the CW announce ? It’s 
just used to work by choosing it.
Default beep works and the sound audio works but the CW is dead.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
running windows 10 latest version of DX 4win,
And the micro key II
I think it’s a sound card problem, so I’ve closed all of the programs so they 
wouldn’t be a conflict.

Hi, discovered a while back and also tried again today. Trying get coordinates 
longitude and latitude of a  country .
When  I tick  on file >database> countries says “not available “ so now no 
longer can I edit or change. Some times there is a need to look up information 
like time differences, longitude and latitude‘s on an entity now no longer 
available -it used to be. 
Is there a problem my software?

Here’s The fix that work for me
I believe this started after a new update of WSJTX
Sometimes when WSJTX starts it tells you there’s an error ...but it doesn’t 
tell you what to do.

you will have to make a small edit to the wsjtx_log.adi file in the WSJT-X log 
files directory. Change the end of header marker from  to .
I found the fix on Google
This fixed work for me.

Hi, I’m running windows 10, Latest DX4win  Version
I had no problem yesterday- and today when I try to import my log from WSJTX 
the screen just freezes up trying to read it.
Any suggestions appreciated.

(the file looks like it’s in the default location which is C:/users/ call sign/

Hi has anyone  experienced this problem?
imy submission log under the reports tab now the window is blank since I 
upgraded yesterday
How do I get my submission QSO back?
I can find them if I do a search using S in the DXCC band , mode or mixed box,  
but  nothing when I try to generate a report

[Dx4win] Since update 9.08 1245 ( don’t see submission log anymore)

Hi, I just updated DX4win todayto the latest version , in now In Reports Tab, 
Report generater DXCC  Report/action -submission , submission medium , LOTW  
(or QSL Cards) , check OK  DXCC Submission Window is blank (no QSO) 
I know there should be about 40 QSO for submission. Am I overlooking something?

9.06 1228 when you do an update shows two files IOTA & DXLIST CLUSTERS 
I update restart the program make the changes to the computer allow it restart 
DX4 win by itself and then I go to updates -it still shows IOTA & the DX 
clusters update need updating?? Re try same results

We all know those spots on FT8 come through so fast it’s hard to grab them

Now they appear as submission like they should
 I don’t know why S is now Shows in the QSO window
Ithink it has something to do with submission report only box that was checked 
and unchecked -
I think the problem with me was that has to do with submission report checking  
it  caused it to generate the S
Version eight automatically did it
I have to check this more closely double check the next time I import

Hi, I loaded my ver8 log into the new version Reports -summary -logbook of the 
world page is blank ?
If I do a filter search mode S comes up with 16 QSO for logbook of the world 
submission-which is correct
 but I don’t see it on logbook of the world summary-shows none blank page blank 
page?
Any ideas
PS Also when navigating and opening up a window like report generator for 
instance when you go down the list and it’s highlighted the listing is like 
half Cut off and covered? Doesn’t look normal

[Dx4win] An exceptional occurred

Fixed column count must be less than Collin count
I brought it up this morning windows 10 version 805 this is what I got all the 
windows are corrupted
I tried copying her old INI file but that didn’t work either
Any suggestions greatly appreciated
All of the personal info is now blank

Problem solved -done by trial and error 
I had to touch the function key  escape key (lock)at the same time!!!
 toggle's the F keys macro back to the function key you can toggle 
back-and-forth

May be a DX4win  issue but it also doesn’t working in NN1M logger which leads 
me to believe it’s a computer the computer is the problem here and I don’t know 
what controls the F keys software on the computer
It was also suggested you start the computer you have to go into the bios and 
switch the keyboard there?

[Dx4win] CW keyboard Function keys wont key transmitter

New computer windows 10  DX4 ver8.05
function keys does not it work to send CW from CW window 
the keyboard characters keys sendCW  to radio
The CW window running MicroKey II  winkey
It’s in keyboard mode instead of function mode to send CW 
also I can click on the function keys on the screen and that works 
But the F keys don’t respond 
The keyboard is hot but the function don’t work 
I have to switch from keyboard the function keys 
Right now nothing seems to be responding to the change

I also change the resolution from landscape to portrait tried to open, nil, 
back to landscape and then tried opening the window again -it appeared after I 
Retried opening window AGN.

[Dx4win] Sunrise /sunset window

Hi,
I just installed, I copied over the whole directory to a notebook -Windows 7 
everything seems to be fine everything is there except I can't open the sunrise 
sunset window I didn't see anything in the archive
Anybody have the answer ?
I don't see it behind any of the windows I've been moving them around

What The problem I see with my labels are the way the finished type appears on 
the label
The type is squeezed to the left side of the label instead of spreading out 
across the 1x4 inches label
Prints out like it's on a 25/8 
All the text is to the left side, not spread out across the label
It's like one size fits all
Perhaps the problem is I use two different fonts a larger font for the callsign 
a smaller one for the QSL information?

Also I been using a 1x4 print label but the format is same like a 25/8x1 
leaving lots wasted room

Yeah just doing it with the radio off!
I started to play with the F keys and it hasthe information (like my name is 
)in there from the author of the dx4win and I want to change it and put mine
But I don't see his name under edit function keys on one of the macros

[Dx4win] Only one label

Just upgraded from version five to version eight imported my log everything 
went smoothly
I have about 100 QSO classified as M mailed 
when I bring up the QSO's and change to label yes , when I go to print labels 
all it says is one label
Everything that I see the six boxes are unconfirmed?
Got me puzzled

Separating LOTW from cards to be submitted with  online application
Is there a way to make an ADIF file when doing a submission on line with QSL 
cards that are mixed with LOTW Cards for submission.  
My thinking is exporting the cards for submission as ADIF and then modifying it 
and saving it as an ADIF  and then inserting it for an online DXCC application
I didn't see a way to do that

Can I use Dx4win and CTwin running windows 7  to send CW ,on the laptop with 
USB port,  can I buy an adapter to use my old parallel port Cable???
Will USB to parallel port adapter work??? If so how go I direct dx4win to find 
it i'm running version 5

Good way to work around a small alert window. 
Problem hr is earlier versions did not have membership list. In fact I run ver5 
in win 7, it works , but NOT all features work, but logs okay and tracks. 
I dont see a packet window anymore, 
I run cluster in RTTY WINDOW. 
That's we set it up originally b4  Internet. I never ran RTTY. 
Anyway I will save the info and apply it to my next upgrade.
