In the beta version will the RST be correct imported according to WSJT-X? Or
will it be 599 as other QSOs?

I am the opposite. As a beta tester, I find it easier to import my
WSJT-X log as an ADIF file every now and then. The frequency of the
imported QSOs includes the frequency offset too. I.e. if the radio
dial says 50313 KHz and the station was +1500 Hz, the logged frequency
will be 50314.5 KHz. And the QSO start/end times are from the actual
WSJT sequence, not when you typed the QSO into DX4WIN.

Yes, JT65 does get imported into the mode field. I was thinking about JT9
and FT8. Hopefully those new modes are coming with the new version. And
Mike is right--F8 will not work, but creating a group should do it.

Hello Bob,

The program only does phone, cw, and digital because that is what the League
counts for DXCC; they don't care which digital mode you use for your digital
DXCC. The reports generator looks at the entire log, or a selection, but
will not recognize the F8 filter.

There are two ways to get the report info you want. One (I think the
easiest) is to use the method I described in my last email. The other would
be to assign all of your JT65 QSOs to a group, make a selection (different
than a filter) of that group number, and do your report on the selection.

Paul,

Are you able to figure out what ADIF version that BV7 is using?
Perhaps it
is an older version that will not accept some data that your middle
program
is putting in the ADIF file.

Also check that the program you use to modify the ADIF file is saving
the
file with the .adi extension. When I use Notepad to modify an ADIF
file,
it will save the file as something like n7cw.adi.txt

Good luck.

Re: [Dx4win] JT65

2017-06-20 Thread Jerry N9AW
Hi All,
I guess this doesn't address Paul's issue directly but.. I use the
JT65 program by HB9HQX. It has an internal logging function with an export
feature. The export from HB9HQX comes into DX4WIN very cleanly. While the
rstS and rstR are filled with 599 the Notes for this QSO field look like
this:
Import:{rstS=-04 rstR=-06}

I am fairly new to JT65 but the HB9HQX program is working solid for me.

Re: [Dx4win] JT65

2017-06-20 Thread Bud Semon
Paul,

Are you able to figure out what ADIF version that BV7 is using? Perhaps it
is an older version that will not accept some data that your middle program
is putting in the ADIF file.

Also check that the program you use to modify the ADIF file is saving the
file with the .adi extension. When I use Notepad to modify an ADIF file,
it will save the file as something like n7cw.adi.txt

Good luck.

Re: [Dx4win] JT65

2017-06-20 Thread Mark via DX4WIN
Hello Paul,

In the "Notes for this QSO" field, I insert the report sent and the report
received.

For example:
  R -11 S -2

Since WSJT-X keeps all of each QSO's information in a text file, the sent
and received reports are always available to retrieve.

Mark
I can do that, but the label will not show the proper report.
I cannot change it in BV7 as they will not be imported through adif
conversion.

Re: [Dx4win] JT65 signal reports

2013-09-03 Thread Jim - N4ST
John,
I use WSJTX and JT-Alertx when working JT65a and JT9-1.
There is a configuration option to write the mode and signal reports to the
comment field.
I am using a different logging program and this works fine with it and then
I can import into DX4WIN the info in the comment field.
You might see if it possible to write the ADIF file directly with the mode
and signal report in the comment field which could then be imported to
DX4WIN.
Never tried it , so don't know for sure.

Jim - N4ST

Subject: [Dx4win] JT65 signal reports

I see this has been discussed before by browsing the Archives but didn't
find a solution.
I'm running version 8.04 and maintaining a group log with imports from
various other logging programmes which include JT65 QSOS with negative
signal reports. However DX4Win wont accept a negative report and records a
default 599. I need to be able to record a negative report in the correct
field for QSLing

Has there been a fix or upgrade I missed?

Don't do that. It caused the problem you saw. LoTW is smart enough
