Indeed, I would say that this be the responsibility of Mentors even if the schedule has some faults, they should check whether the schedule is correct or not and if correct to push towards having the report on time. What should be done with these projects? Which one(s) should be retired? Wave is active. They have just imported their code to svn and said they wanted to report this fact. I am not sure why they didn't and will ping them. I have another question. My feeling is that some of the projects are missing active mentors. I mean... shouldn't they be there and tell them how important reporting is? Shouldn't they somehow trigger their podlings? RE: Projects failing to repoirt for October - appropriate actions?
Looking back over the email trail, it seems that there is some confusion as when certain projects need to report. ManifoldCF, for instance, was asked to report monthly for approximately the first year (or was it six months?). After that we received report notices every three months: March, June, September, and December. We've been responding to report notices when we've received them and we just reported in September. We received no notice in October and did not expect one. It appears that many of the other projects you listed are in a similar situation. Can you please clarify what our responsibilities in fact are, as far as you understand it? If we are once again expected to report every month, we'd appreciate receiving appropriate notification to that effect. Thanks, Karl -Original Message- From: ext Noel J. The expectations are that you report once every three months, unless notified otherwise. This month had a bad list of podlings in the wiki page confusing the hell out of everybody. The notification bot will send you your appropriate warnings when you need to send board reports. Apologies. For podlings looking to graduate soon, monthly reporting is probably a good idea but I missed that Rat had moved onto that schedule. (Not sure why Kato reports monthly but now I'm aware of it, I'll pick it up...) It's hard for Rat to graduate until Incubator trademark policy and process are integrated and coordinated with the legal team. ManifoldCF submitted a report in September. I'm not sure why this was not logged. Karl On Tue, Oct 18, 2011 at 1:05 PM, Noel J. It seems that i messed up when initialising the October2011 page at the beginning of the month. I thought that i was being extra careful this time, as Brett needed to fix a recent one.
