[gentoo-user] Scanner Epson CX5400
Hello all,I've got a CX5400 EPSON All-in-One printer/scanner.I tried to configure sane-backends in order to get it working on my 2.6.14-gentoo (amd 64), but I think I'm doing something wrong. [gentoo-user] Bootsplash and Kernel 2.6.11-r3
Hi all, I need some support to get bootsplash on my gentoo start-up! I tried following gentoo-HOWTO, but I'm probably missing something important: that is I did patch and recompile my kernel, but when I looked for Bootsplash configuration --- [*] Bootup splash screen I didn't manage to find it on my config menu!!! What's wrong with this? I think this option is quite significant to get bootsplash appears, isn't it? Thanks for any info!!! [gentoo-user] PS/2 mouse not working
Hi guys, I just bought a new PS/2 Trust optical mouse (3 buttons), but I can't get it works under my gentoo: I'm using gentoo-sources 2.6.12-r6 for amd64 and I think I configured my kernel as well as possible for PS/2 mice support. When system boots, it turns the red laser light off and when i try cat /dev/input/mice or cat /dev/psaux i get some X on 1,2 and 3 button pressed. I think there is probably a problem on hw detection on system booting, but I really don't know where to put my hands on!!! Can anybody help me please TNX! S.G. Ok, some news: 1. Knoppix recognize the mouse as an ImExPS/2 Generic Explorer Mouse and I cannot get it working even with this livecd!!! 2. I think the problem is with the 2.6.* kernels: it seems mouse is always recognized, but the optical lens shuts down as soon as i begin moving it...
