Re: [JAWS-Users] Outlook 2016

2018-07-20 Thread Miriam Vieni
I've always read those two lines with alt 1 for the from field and alt 3 for
the to field, and that still works.
But when I go to the top of the message with control home, which I do
regularly because that's the only way I've been able to get to the top for
years in Outlook, Jaws sometimes reads the from line, rather than the top
line of the message, ever since this new update. And I have to close every
email in order to respond to it with control R. I emailed VFO about
responding to emails and they has two complicated work arounds for me. It's
simpler to just close the email and then respond.
However, one of their emails had questions for me to answer. If I pressed
control R and went down to their original email and answered the questions,
that worked fine. And then I could go back up to the top of the email and
write something with no problem.
I know this is complicated. It's really hard to describe. I'm just sorry I
did the update.

Hi friends,

Using the latest JAWS 2018 and Microsoft Outlook 2016.
If I open an email, I don't seem to be able to change in to JAWS cursor and
read the top of the message heading where the to and cc fields are which is
how I would normally check this.
Has anyone had any similar issues?
The only way I can read the to and cc fields is to shift+tab back to them
and it is sometimes useful to use the JAWS cursor to read the top part of
the screen.

With this version of jaws, the jaws cursor is restricted. I suggest that
you activate the invisible cursor which has no restrictions. I'm not sure
why that was done, but it seems that the jaws cursor seems to follow the PC
cursor and is, as I'm sure you know, restricted from movement in certain
areas.

Re: [JAWS-Users] going back to previous version of jaws

2018-07-20 Thread Fernando Gregoire
There's no need to uninstall newer versions of JAWS. Unlike other programs,
many JAWS versions can work together in the same system, provided no more
than one is running at the same time.
I would simply install JAWS 14 over the most recent versions, using the
/Type Safe command-line switch to prevent system-level components like FS
Video Intercept, which are shared components, from being replaced with
older versions.

Hope it helps!

Personally, I'd love to see the JAWS for Windows, NVDA, and Windows 10 for
Screen Reader Users groups "fused." There is very little that goes on in
any one of them that doesn't have partial or total cross-over interest for
the other. In addition, Groups.io gives you an exquisite level of control
over just what e-mail messages you will get from any group of which you're

[JAWS-Users] skipping

2018-07-20 Thread K M Davis
For the person who had a skipping issue in Microsoft word...I called F/S
and got a knowledgeable tech.  He checked things out then did a repair
of Office and can you believe he fixed it? Neither could I but it seems
fixed and I was told not to look a gift horse in the mouth!  YES!!!
So, give it a try 'cause what do you have to lose besides an aggravation
from JAWS?

Even though I have participated on this particular list minimally as a
contributor, I also vote for integrating the list with the existing JAWS
for Windows Users Group on the Groups.io e-mail list/online forum. No
purpose is served by having multiple JAWS user groups. It's one thing, for
instance, to have specialist groups like the JAWS scripting group, but if
one is looking to bring end users together the idea should be reaching the
largest audience in a single place.

I am on numerous groups that are hosted by groups.IO. They all seem to work

Hi friends,

Using the latest JAWS 2018 and Microsoft Outlook 2016.
If I open an email, I don't seem to be able to change in to JAWS cursor and
read the top of the message heading where the to and cc fields are which is
how I would normally check this.
Has anyone had any similar issues?
The only way I can read the to and cc fields is to shift+tab back to them
and it is sometimes useful to use the JAWS cursor to read the top part of
the screen.

Re: [JAWS-Users] auto nfl game pass renewal opt-out

2018-07-20 Thread Leonard Morris
In a word no. I emailed them but I never heard back.

I contacted Bank of America and I told him under no circumstances would pay for
a subscription that I unsubscribed from. I guess I will just have to wait and
see what happens on August 1, 2018 when They try to renew my subscription with
a credit card that I have already canceled three months ago. But I appreciate
you asking thanks much. Every country has an identity, history, custom, and
culture. It’s a unique landscape in determining how its people Live, work, and

hello;
one thing you can do is, make sure the outlook window is maximized.

windows-key+up-arrow will maximize the screen.
I'm running windows 10, office 2016, not experiencing that behavior.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] auto nfl game pass renewal opt-out

I am using the latest Jaws 2018. I received an email from NFL game pass
regarding my subscription. To, opt out you can either go to your accout or go
to a ticket form link within the email. I have tried numerous times both ways
with no success. I've tried with IE11, Chrome and Firefox. Is there a support
email address I can write to opt out or a support phone number I can call to
opt out. I do not want to be charged the $199 by the end of this month. Any
help regarding this issue will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
