[Jmol-users] arbitrary hover string for each atom
Is there a way to set an arbitrary string for each atom to be displayed when hovering the atom? A real arbitrary string, not composed out of atom number, element, etc? Hello Jaim! Yes, hover This is an atom; but it applies to all atoms and I cannot find a way to make it selective Maybe my mapping your text into an atom property that is available to hover, and then hover %[thatProperty] -- Learn the latest--Visual Studio 2012, SharePoint 2013, SQL 2012, more! Re: [Jmol-users] arbitrary hover string for each atom
Hola Angel, Thank you for a prompt reply. I was looking for an extension of the following way of setting properties for individual atoms. Besides spacefill and color, I would like to have an individual hover arbitrary string for each atom. select atomno=11; spacefill 4.00; color [xFF66FF] select atomno=12; spacefill 16.00; color [xFF] Regards, Jaim On Sep 1, 2013, at 12:05 PM, Angel Herráez angel.herr...@uah.es wrote: Hello Jaim! Re: [Jmol-users] arbitrary hover string for each atom
I found that hover can reflect the label text, and label can indeed be assigned per atom. So, as long as you don't need to use labels, this seems to do the trick: hover %[label]; //affects all atoms select _N; label this is a nitrogen; set labelToggle {selected}; //turns label off without resetting it select _O; label this is an oxygen; set labelToggle {selected}; select all; -- Learn the latest--Visual Studio 2012, SharePoint 2013, SQL 2012, more! [Jmol-users] opera/Safari problem with binary files of late
From another thread: Geoff Rowland wrote: Finally, I have recently noticed that Opera (latest version 12.16 on Windows 7 or Fedora 19) is no longer displaying JSmol for binary files (e.g. .pse, .pdb.zip) on, say, http://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/jsmol/jsmol.htm This was all working with Opera a few weeks ago though I'm not sure if recent Opera or JSmol updates have broken things. Perhaps related to the recent removal of 'JSmol hacks to jQuery'' which otherwise seems to work well. Exactly. I missed that. It should also affect Mac users. Took me 4 hours to learn my little lesson about jQuery. Mia culpa! I'll get that updated. I note that Opera on my Windows 8 machine is useless with JSmol/HTML5 Bob -- Robert M. Re: [Jmol-users] opera/Safari problem with binary files of late
I see that on your link below, Firefox works fine, but Safari and Opera will not load any of the RCSB files. Is this the same issue?
