We don't have this small resolution so we need to show problem.

So indeed screenshot of each tab can help us.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 385161] New: Can't send file from Android to PC

2017-09-27 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385161

Bug ID: 385161
Summary: Can't send file from Android to PC
   Product: kdeconnect
   Version: 1.2
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: common
  Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
  Reporter: sun...@hotmail.ru
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi, Manjaro recently updated from version kdeconnect-1.0.3 to kdeconnect-1.2.
Finally SMS replies started to work and notifications become usable but i can't
send a file from a phone to PC/Notebook anymore. I can send it from PC/Notebook
to a phone though. Reverting back to 1.0.3 i can but it loses SMS
functionality.
On Android i have the latest available from F-Droid 1.6.6
I've checked that downgrading Android version down to 1.6.3 but keeping PC
version 1.2 doesn't restore "File send" functionality.

What happens:
When i send file from phone to PC it creates a temporary blank file and
indicator on both devices says that file is in the process of
sending/receiving.

What should happen:
File should've been transferred long ago.

File Send works: PC(1.0.3) + Android(1.6.6)
File Send doesn't work: PC(1.2) + Android(1.6.6)

I don't know what you want with other tabs - there are other buttons like
"Save" or "Save to File" buttons which I cannot reach on my laptops which have
a lower resolution screen than my desktop. Therefore I know what buttons are
missing but I cannot reach them because they are below the screen. The bug
listed here is that the akonadiconsole window cannot be made smaller to reach
these buttons if you have a low resolution screen.

[krita] [Bug 385160] New: [Fill Tool] minimal Threshold is not fine enough

2017-09-27 Thread David REVOY
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385160

Bug ID: 385160
Summary: [Fill Tool] minimal Threshold is not fine enough
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.3.0
  Platform: Appimage
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Tools
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: i...@davidrevoy.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi,
The fill tool can't replace exactly a single color: even at minimal Threshold,
it still bleeds on neighborhood colors if those one are very close in the
color-space.

To reproduce:
=
1. Create a new sRGB document 60x20px
2. Create three filled square with three very near color, like this three
red-black:
++++
| RGB(1,0,0) | RGB(2,0,0) | RGB(3,0,0) |
++++
3. Use the fill tool at minimal Threshold to replace a single color by a new
random one ...

Result:
===
All the three colors blocks will be filled by flood fill.

Expected:
=
At minimal Threshold, I was expecting Flood fill tool to be super fine and
precise to limit itself at a pure color, and fills only one block.

Use vperm Iop code with minor modifications to implement the xxperm and xxpermr
instructions

The xxperm instructions does the same permute as the vperm instruction. The
difference is the xxperm instruction works on the VSX register file and hte
vperm works on the VR register file. The vperm instruction has three input
registers and the xxperm has two input registers and then uses the output
register as an additional input register. Basically, you can use the vperm
instruction to emulate the xxperm with some register renaming. The attached
patch just takes the existing vperm Iop code and tweeks it to do the xxperm and
xxpermr instructions. This only generates a few Iops rather then the massive
amount of iops as the previous implementation.

[plasmashell] [Bug 385158] New: QDialogButtonBox::Discard is overridden to use "edit-clear" icon; upstream setting ("edit-delete" icon) is correct

2017-09-27 Thread Nate Graham

Bug ID: 385158
Summary: QDialogButtonBox::Discard is overridden to use
"edit-clear" icon; upstream setting ("edit-delete"
icon) is correct
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: master

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: pointedst...@zoho.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

When you create a QDialogButtonBox with a Discard button via
QDialogButtonBox::Discard, it uses the edit-clear icon from the theme. An
example is Spectacle's main window.

This is incorrect: the Discard action is destructive, so it should use the
edit-delete icon. In fact, upstream Qt uses this icon by default:
https://github.com/qt/qtbase/blob/6d699d08200b1fe3a616dfbc275d46c98b77fcbd/src/widgets/styles/qcommonstyle.cpp#L5780

Somewhere we're overriding this, and we should probably stop, because
edit-delete is more correct.

Sometimes I want to see sizes of items directly on my '/' partition. Mounted on
'/' are others partitions that Filelight scans and includes them when a try to
scan/view '/', even-though I only want files directly on '/'. (e.g. it includes
the partition mounted at /home)

There could be options to restrict scans to same either the same drive only, or
the same partition only.

There are times when someone might want to include files from these other
partitions/drives and at other times not. So I think it should be on option as
to rather or not to include them instead of picking one out.
-
Sometimes a mounted partition hides files that were where the partition got
mounted at. Perhaps there can be an option to include/exclude these hidden by
mount(s) files too.
(Hopefully in a way that isn't confusing, or cause people to delete the wrong
file(s), maybe by a note during hoover that says something like "... file
hidden by mounted partition(s), to show the file in the filesystem first
unmount ___ ...")

[okular] [Bug 385152] New: Text is not highlighted when searching AND custom colors are set for screen output

2017-09-27 Thread Nicolás Adamo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385152

Bug ID: 385152
Summary: Text is not highlighted when searching AND custom
colors are set for screen output
   Product: okular
   Version: 1.2.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: PDF backend
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: nicoad...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 108065
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=108065=edit
Screenshot with visual settings, the search menu and an occurrence.

If I change the settings for a dark backgroung and a light text (like night
reading mode), I'm unable to see highlighted text if there's an occurrence when
searching. Please refer to attachment to have a clear picture of the problem.
It's almost self explanatory.

[plasmashell] [Bug 383270] panel doesn't autohide after using the global menu

2017-09-27 Thread PK
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383270

Thank you for the great work! It is easy to see that the whole thing behaves a
lot better in 5.11.
But e.g. with Krusader and global menu widget (active) the upper panel shows up
unwanted sometimes and it remains too long after being used. But it all became
much better.

[plasmashell] [Bug 384478] Refactor login logic to give plasmashell priority to avoid I/O congestion

2017-09-27 Thread Shmerl
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384478

Or you are saying that with calendar integration plasmashell can't complete
loading its UI before akonadiserver and mysqld finish starting?

Then I suppose it also requires some approach redesign, that UI should appear
partially, and update missing stuff as it loads, instead of stalling the whole
UI waiting for I/O heavy stuff to complete.

If the complete session is terminated, this is probably a Wayland bug.

Either way, we need the backtrace of the crash, either of the plasmashell

I'm using Kmail. Disabling it helps only slightly. The problem is there by
design. Any I/O heavy process that kicks in on startup chokes plasmashell. Like
for example starting Firefox which reads its cache and other data.

It's the design that needs some change IMHO. I.e. plasmashell should load fully
before any intense I/O slows it down. I understand that on SSD this is not an
issue, and you on the contrary want everything to start right away, to reduce
log-in time.

On HDD, to reduce that time different startup strategy is needed, not wild west
race for I/O resources.

May be Plasma can determine, whether HDD or SSD is used, and apply needed
strategy accordingly.

2017-09-27 Thread Safa Alfulaij
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382674

I actually found one thing that could make navigating by arrow keys
uncomfertable.
It's if an Arabic text file (all lines are rtl) has some empty lines in it (or
you added some empty lines), where pressing left arrow will take you to the new
line, and left again to the previous RTL line.
I don't know how could this be solved, but it's nice to be more smart in these
cases.
I'll ask someone, he might have a nice logical useful idea.

There still is a Help button (and only one), and it works.

So all should be fine.

I give up. I thought I once saw that the MPG CA had a valid and a revoked
Cert.
(but I can't find it anymore :-( ) Maybe that's the reason for the failure
but I've no clue how to prove it :-(

#1: doesn't work, mp4 videos have a datetime stamp in the main albums view but
not in the geo view so I cannot get them sorted by date *together with the
images*. I would like to see the datetime stamp of the video files in this list
too.

Nobody can reproduce this in KDE Neon when compiled from latest sources. It's
most likely an issue with your environment somehow. I know for a fact that it's
resolved in Kubuntu 17.04 at least, so if you can upgrade to that, this should
be fixed.

Git commit b09b216fe7b404dfc12f78834c38f4a0793a5d4d by Nathaniel Graham.
Committed on 27/09/2017 at 18:38.
Pushed by ngraham into branch 'Applications/17.08'.

Use standard QToolButtons so that their icons use the right colors

Summary:

For the inline context buttons, use the standard QToolButton widget which
respects theming so that icons are always visible

Test Plan:
Tested in KDE Neon with Breeze light and dark, Oxygen, and all default color
schemes. Big improvement.

Current with Breeze:
{F4047019}

Patched version with Breeze:
{F4103061}

Patched version with Breeze Dark:

[kmldonkey] [Bug 385149] New: Compilation documentation.

2017-09-27 Thread Giorgos Kostopoulos .
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385149

Bug ID: 385149
   Summary: Compilation documentation.
   Product: kmldonkey
   Version: SVN trunk
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: gmazzurc...@gmail.com
  Reporter: giorgos...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I wish a documentation (- guidance - howto) for compiling the SVN version (on a
modern Linux distribution).

Seems like noone knows why the compilation fails and the only available
documentation is back from the KDE3 era (and does not apply).

TIA! :-)
