I fixed this one today (in master, waiting for review for
libreoffice-4-0). The real solution will be the conversion of all
dialogs to the new layout managed widgets, see:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/WidgetLayout. This
work is in progress, hopefully it will be done for 4.1.

I would appreciate if someone told me where to locate this string:

or at least tell me what it is for.

It looks unused to me.

It's not unused: in Calc, choose Format - Conditional Formatting - Data
Bar... - More options... and if your locale is set to English, you'll see
it as the topmost header. Actually, on the very picture you posted (
http://login.kristshell.net/~olorin/databar%20dialog.png), that string
should be shown instead of the upper Linjefarger. I don't know how it got
there, but also in my locale the two first headers in thet dialog are the
same, even though they shouldn't be -- we'll see if it's fixed in RC2.

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Too little space for meaningful non English strings.

2013-01-22 Thread Mihkel Tõnnov
A few more strings that have too little space:

1) ODF Spreadsheet (not saved by LibreOffice) -- cuts off anything that
is even a few characters longer than the English string, which means that
Germans only see about 2/3 of their translation. This one should really be
fixed as soon as possible, IMO.

2) Restart every new page -- cuts off the end of e.g. French and Finnish
translations, as they are a bit longer than in English.

I'm quite sure there are more, these just caught my eye at a quick glance.

Mihkel

[libreoffice-l10n] [ANNOUNCE] Branch libreoffice-4-0-0 created

2013-01-22 Thread Petr Mladek
Hi all,

there have been created the libreoffice-4-0-0 branch. It will be used
for fine tuning of the 4.0.0 release.

The following rules apply:

+ preferably just translation or blocker fixes
+ only cherry-picking from libreoffice-4-0 branch
+ 2 additional reviews needed; 2nd reviewer pushes
+ no regular merges back to anything

The 'libreoffice-4-0' branch is still active and will be used for the
4.0.1 bugfix release. Please read more at

   http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan
   http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Branches

Now, if you want to switch your clone to the branch, please do:

./g pull -r
./g checkout -b libreoffice-4-0-0 origin/libreoffice-4-0-0

Hopefully it will work for you :-) Most probably, you will also want to
do (if you haven't done it yet):

git config --global push.default tracking

When you do git push with this, git will push only the branch you are
on; e.g. libreoffice-4-0-0 when you have switched to it. This will
save you some git shouting at you.

Happy hacking,
Petr

[libreoffice-l10n] Bosnian spellchecking definitions

Hello,

This is just a heads up, I have created a bug report for adding Hunspell
definitions for Bosnian language:

Is there any chance for this to become a part of LO 4.0.0 ?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Andras,

I have to warn you that, in KDE environment, I also noticed visual rendering,
such as cuts on top or bottom of spaces in writings, in some dialogs.

You can notice them especially in the options dialogs, where the main dialog
seems to be not resizable. I speak for the Italian interface, but I think
there's the same problem also in other languages.

Is it possible to check and fix it?

TIA,

Ciao

[libreoffice-l10n] Norwegian autocorrection data?

2013-01-22 Thread Guttorm Flatabø
Hi, I'm new to this list, but not new to internationalizing open source
software.

My LibreOffice crashes when I'm trying to add autocorrection exceptions
today so I've been forced to edit it manually and thought I might as well
share my additions with other users.

Is there any Norwegian autocorrection data out there? I'm thinking about
the files contained in for example acor_en-US.dat in the user/autocorr
directory. How should I go about contributing, if it is lacking?
