Information such as you wanted included, apparently are meant to be
indicated by saved information from Ancestry. They should appear on World
Connect at Rootsweb which should suit you if you are wanting an online
research aid.

RE: [LegacyUG] uploading trees to Ancestry

2013-07-11 Thread Brian L. Lightfoot
I assume that you are talking about the paid subscription service of
Ancestry.com. I would think that there must be something wrong with either your
data format uploaded or perhaps some other configuration issue. I know that
Ancestry’s free servers at World Connect / RootsWeb perfectly show event notes
uploaded via GEDCOMs created in Legacy with no problems. Maybe one of those
that spend their money at Anecestry.com can comment further.

Yes, I was talking about the main Ancestry site which charges. I have
avoided using it, but having knowing there was some pictures of my
husband's 2nd great grandfather and others available I decided to take
advantage of a special and buy a short subscription.
I've seen lots of notes on World Connect. That is why I was surprised that
they don't show up on Ancestry.com
