Legacy Quick Look uses a very rudimentary image viewer (and always has). Large images will generally show okay as the flaws in rendering are hidden by the compressed size. The closer the original is to the on screen rendered size, the worse the degradation. I have hundreds of tack sharp images that look, in Quick Look, like second generation xerox copies of old newspaper prints. There is nothing at all that can be done; its all just on your screen -- the image will print correctly in reports and show fine on web pages. Just don't bother with them in program. Opening your original in Irfanview at 69% of full size I see the same lines in the image as in the legacy quicklook screen shot. When I enlarge your original to 100 % the lines disappear but the graininess of the original image is more apparent.
