Something I always do, and it might help you too. Before including any
Inkscape-constructed image in LyX or HTML, I always
File->Clean_up_document and File->Save_as->Plain_SVG. This tends to get
all the "inkscapisms" out of the image. Whenever I have problems with text not
fitting in boxes in the ultimate viewer (a web page or PDF), I always convert
text to curves and then once again clean up and save as plain.

Kornel,

That's not what I see here. I have choices to paste, jump around, move
things, but not add a short title. And I cannot capture the menu in a

I might be wrong, but I don't think the title LaTeX command provides an
optional short title argument (both Stadard and KOMA).

Strange, LyX shouldn't be different from other applications. Not sure
why that's happening.

New Color Box Type code error

This code throws an error:

New Color Box Type Name cBoxA 1 col back=gray!25!white,colbacktitle=black,
colframe=black!;75!black, fonttitle=\bfseries, title=\listno\,##,
width=\textwidth

Evidently related to the parameter after cBoxA. My notes say that there should
be the term Arguments after cBoxA, but when I try that I still get an error.

Can some kind guru show me the way?

RE: LyX & svg files

I'm a little confused. I have LyX 2.3.1 installed on two computers, both
running 64bit Windows 10, latest update, and the samve version of Inkscape.
Some arrows show up with "broken neck" on one computer, but not on the other. I
sync the LyX documents and the figures among my computers using OneDrive.

On the computer where the "broken neck" persists, if I open the drawing in
Inkscape, ungroup elements, and group them again before saving the drawing,
then the drawing becomes ok. Puzzling.
--
Occationally, the arrows are "broken" also in Inkscape. This typically happens
if I have slanted lines, typically different from a multiple of 45 degrees, and
sometimes if I select several lines and chose arrow on all lines
simultaneously. So probably there is something flaky in Inkscape, too.

The graphic from the tickets shows up incorrectly in 2.2.3 but fine on
2.3.1 under Win10. If I understood the fix correctly, then it is to use the
converter from SVG -> PNG instead of the qt internal one. Hence it should be
unrelated.

It seems like LyX sometimes has problems handling SVG files,
specifically lines with arrow heads.

There was a bug about this that was closed (fixed in 2.2.4 for which
there is no binary I could find on LyX.org):

Anyone know if it's the same thing showing up in 2.3.x?

Also, I'd love to get an installer for the 2.2.4 on Windows 10 if
possible (I downgraded from 2.3.x because it breaks my custom file
