Subject: Warning about burnAware 7

Hi all,

Today I upgraded to BurnAware 7 and found that as so often is the case
they have a new interface that looks visually appealing but it is no
longer possible to navigate the menus using the keyboard. I'm using the
premium edition but this probably applies to all editions. I wrote to
them through their support link on their home page at www.burnaware.com
and I'd suggest anyone else concerned about this issue write to them as
well. You will need to complete a CAPTCHA before sending your message.
For those who don't know BurnAware is a CD burning program for Windows
that used to be very accessible.

Regards Steve.

Re: Warning about burnAware 7

2014-05-15 Thread Joe Paton
Hello,

I didn't upgrade because it wasn't broken.
I could perform all the regular cd authoring tasks that I need to do,
and if it didn't, the easy cd da extractor (old name,) fills the gaps.
I guess you could roll back though?

Joe

Update on Burnaware 7

2014-05-15 Thread Christopher Hallsworth

Hello everyone.
Here is what I received from Burnaware support regarding version 7. It
appears they will listen to feedback from the blind community.

Thank you for comment.

Ribbon in BurnAware can be used with hot keys (they listed in Help File).
Except the Main Window, but this will be improved in next release.
I'll try NVDA and think how to resolve this problem.

Please tell me, classic Windows menu will be enough to operate BurnAware 7?

P.S. To revert back to version 6.x, please follow this link:

JAWS 15 and I can teach you how to use it by Skype or email. At first it may
appear inaccessible but Replay Media Catcher 5 does what you need. Once you
get used to its interface it is a breeze to use. To start recording alt+s
and stop recording use alt+x

Give this program a test drive by installing its demo.

Re: Converting YouTube to MP3

I used to do that, all the time, with Concert Vault, the archive of Bill
Graham's sound board recordings, of classic rock shows, from the Fillmore,
King Biscuit Flower Hour, etc.; it takes a lot of patience, but, it is worth
it sometimes. One has to do a bit of editing, to join the files, as they
gap them, at the oddest points! You can create a great concert, joining the
audience applause, then marking regions, to play tracks, for your sighted
friends, with audio players, in their cars, etc.! I used CD Architect, to
create the final CD master files.

Hi Peter and list. Here's a software I use to make the audio of YouTube
videos into mp3s.

It's available free at

www.dvdvideosoft.com

This site has several pieces of software to download; I use the Free YouTube
to MP3 Converter; it's pretty accessible; after installing it, go to Options
and make sure to uncheck the box that says download album art; you don't
need those; also check the box under Advanced to make the program compatible
with your screen reader. I use the software with System Access and have
found it easy to use; thanks.

Tim: Yes...that's exactly what it says! Hopefully this is only a temporary
thing and will be fixed soon! Thanks for the response!

I have noticed the same thing. It just says failed, no match found. I hope

they fix it because I use it for tagging songs on my radio shows.

Subject: Problems With Auto Tagger In Winamp

Hello List: Have just noticed that the auto tagger in Winamp seems to be
not working! I tried to used it on several things; even tried it on things
that were already tagged! Yet, it says failed! Does anyone here have an
explanation for this?
