q-chord accessibility
Hi folks Am not sure how appropriate this is for this specific list so please answer to me off list in order not to clutter up the list. If this is off topic, then my sincere apologies to all. This is why I want folks to respond to me off list. I am interested in the Suzuki q-chord digital musical instrument. I have two questions: 1.How accessible is this thing? And 2.Can it be considered a serious musical instrument? An electric autoharp is a pretty good description. The autoharp is the acoustic instrument on which the QChord was modeled, because of the chord layout of the buttons on both instruments, and the strum plate on the QChord, which mimicks the string bed on the autoharp. Well this now becomes definitely off-topic, but I'll just say that autoharps are still definitely being made, but buying one on EBay can be dodgy, since the autoharp is very mechanical, and parts may be missing. There's an autoharp e-mail list called the Cyberpluckers. Googling that one word will get you the list page.
