[Biofuel] GLOBAL WARMING IN TEXAS

[biofuel] ASK BEFORE LIGHTING UP
These tanks are a great design for this use but ask several pro welders and then you should still maybe not use them.I know of explosions where investigators said EVERYTHING was done right,but things went terribly wrong.One in breckenridge,texas killed 4 people in a nieghboring business 300 feet away when an end cap blew through their building.State investigators are still puzzled about this after more than 20 years.It was an aluminum trailer that hauled drip gas[condensate],properly grounded ,completely filled with water.This was my home repair shop for my truck and shop workers,the welder,everyone has no explaination since they had no air pockets,they believe.At least,let it set full for several days,topping it off every day;remember,you are playing with dynamite. FARMSHOW.COM in their mag showed a company in indiana [i believe] that stocks more used diesel engines than anyone else.Each engine is checked throughly and put on a dyno before sold with a solid guarantee.This place has maybe 2-3000 engines of ALL types diesels and they can steer you to what you really need in that bus.GM diesels[even the new isuzu-chevy] should be avoided ,in my opinion since they were based on a weak gas engine design[the new engine would have been fine if chevy had had NO input into the design of it] ask google about engine sources that stand behind their products. What size chasse is the bus?If one ton,you can put in a 5.9 cummins out of a dodge without much trouble and it is a far superior engine to what ford or gm offered in their pickups.If your bus is on a two ton undercarriage,you have more options because you have more space and probably will need more torque than the earlier 5.9 engines had.Another route may be mating a 472-500 cadillac or big buick to a multi-speed trans.These gas engines in 1970 versions put out 510 lb.ft. torque at nearly idle and got much better mileage than chevy engines;they did not break and they are still setting around with not too much mileage after the power seats and power windows quit;if you can get a turbo somewhere cheap,you can get 800 lb.ft. torque or more. Any diesel engine will be much heavier than the gm gas unit.The mount supports may be the same but not the mounts.Driveshaft must be shortened-lengthened with right yoke welded on shaft for whichever tranny you use.If you are not mechanical,do trade it off.Big BUICK engines in the 70.s would drop right in any chevy car ,truck,whatever;mounts and all;cadillac was more trouble.Detroits are noisy:cummins quietiest of all big diesels [i know from experience] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo! When you lubricate the bearings before torque time,use only something that will very quickly desolve[melt] as your oil pump will be clogged by lubricants such as wheel bearing grease;a real NO-NO. [biofuel] engine problem
Some engines are poorly designed such as the 4 banger in chrysler neons which has 2 exhaust ports side-by-side.Chrysler tells people to use only CHRYSLER ANTI-FREEZE[it has a LOT of sealant in each gallon].Newer engines will not stand much overheating.Some cars[like buick]built in the 50's could get so hot that their exhaust manifolds and much of the head would be transparent without damage or have 3 gallons of water in with the oil,churned to buttermilk by the crank after driving home without stoping running 115 mph.Replaced aluminum timing cover ,filter and oil and drove it 10 more years.The bearings and other parts in OLD buicks and some cads were indestructible.Check into using a COPPER head gasket for insurance. Most farmers on this planet are in a struggle to survive the raw deal given them by regulations forced upon them by the same people who own the utilities,drug companies,oil companies and most everything else.Huge ,interlinked global corporations do not deserve the whole pie and certainly not sympathy! [biofuel] check manual about pan first
Do not do anything until you know that the pan will come off without pulling engine.Remember that you have an oil pickup tube near bottom of pan and clearing rear main usually requires picking engine up aways in majority of cars.You could put a little diesel or bio in tank and drive it to clean up valve train and upper cylinders a little before changing,but that should be the limit.I f engine in good shape and you are using oil that does not sludge up,dont do anything but change oil and filter.Amsoil synthic may be best oil available. I have tried two add-on gadgets that did not show any improvement.eagle-research.com has several things that i have not tried that they claim enhances fuel economy,plus they are selling a brown's gas welding unit that i want to discuss with two pro welder friends of mine. The wind rarely stops blowing out here for very long.We now have some large turbine farms streching from near abilene west to iraan-rankin and other areas.We could put up a million of them out here without counting new mexico,arizona or california.They even make our small mountains more scenic to me![you can see plum into next week out here and there are areas where you may not even see a plane fly over for several days]I believe that Tesla found ways to store and transfer electricity that were deemed too usefull for little peopleby the dragon system[it will be a real beast soon] Florida Power and Light put up most of west texas's wind turbines,i believe. OPEL 24 hour endurance and econemy run in november '03 averaged139.8 mph for 24 hours and got up to 159.2 mph for a while ,acheving 92.6 mpg [ final lap took 49 minutes !] DECEMBER '03 mercedes,and now dodge sprinter is a huge van weighing 5381 lb.,but got 30 mpg average from this high-topped bus. These are much simpler units than the new hybrids.Repair and availiability of parts frighten me of hybrids [i was a long-time auto parts whiz kid].Manufactors love to complicate cars that they do not want to build. Years ago i was talking with the manager of a huge animal waste processing center and he was proudly showing about a dozen or more products salvaged from these dead creatures [many died in feedlots days before processing]He laughed and said that i would be suprised how many of them went one way or another back into our food supply! He picked up a container of chicken feathers and said that they ground them up ,along with bones,and put them into pellets for cattle and sheep. [biofuel] washing of the water and pollution
I have considered biodiesel production for some years now and wonder about the confusions and the truth about several procedures.Doing it right and cleanly should be upmost in everyone's mind.The Big Oil Business has a terrible record of doing anything cleanly as i know from years of living in the oil patch and working and transporting many,many loads of crude [i am NOT the enemy!] To western ranchers,oil revenue is just slowing down the time until they loose the farm and oil companies have left many areas totally distroyed for any use;salt water left to pour out in every direction from the 1920's until the 60's when they were forced to contain it and pump it back underground [going lord knows where].Nothing will ever grow in these areas except a few salt cedars.To seperate oil from water in tanks that want cooperate,we brought in a hot-oil-treatment truck which circulated the tank oil thru the truck-mounted heater for several hours[sometimes,this did not work after several attempts and this bad oil was sold to a salvage company] I want to know how to produce biodiesel right before i start[maybe using animal fats from a very large facality ] .Even the shape of process containers are in the argument among the bio people.
