Since you had me poking around preferences I noticed that deletions under "Normal Deletions" was set to "Move messages to trash folder" which I would have thought meant the trash folder for that account. Since it didn't seem to work that way as evidenced by what happened this morning, I instead selected "Move to the specified folder" and then selected that account's trash folder. I have now done that for both accounts. If no further messages get routed to that orphan trash folder at the bottom of the tree, I'll eventually delete it. Trash folders
Hello TBUDL'ers, I have two accounts set up in my TB! and somehow have three trash folders. I have a trash folder in the account, a trash folder in my Gmail account and a third which sits at the very bottom of the account tree. All three trash folders contain copious amounts of trashed emails. I ask because this morning I trashed an email from the account and later had to retrieve it. I couldn't find it in the account trash folder where I expected it to be but in the trash folder below the account tree. I can understand each account having its own trash folder but why the one at the bottom of the account tree and why would an email trashed from the account wind up in the bottom trash folder and not the trash folder? What governs where a trashed email will end up? Can I delete any of these trash folders without dire consequences? -- TIA, Jack LaRosa :usflag: :alabamaflag: Central Alabama Using TB! 6.0.12 --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus Current version is 7.1 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Yes! Reading the directions is the key! You did say to copy the filter antes de clicking on the Read. Having the filter in the clipboard allows TB to 'see' it. It will probably work. However, if it works, it will be quite a tedious task redirecting messages one at a time. Unless there is a 'bulk re-direct' option somewhere that I am not aware about. -- Best regards, Miguel A. If I click on that to create a new filter, then right > click on it, Paste is grayed out. That's really strange. Did you highlight/select including the first line TB! Message Filter ? If this line is not included when copying, it seems that TB 'detects' that what is in the clipboard is not a filter and doesn't allow pasting (Paste is grayed out). > I'm in v4.2.44 does this make a difference? It should not. Actually, I have tested in my wife's laptop and it works. -- Best regards, Miguel A.
