[Bug 927225] Re: Yukon Optima 88E8059 fails to come up as a network interface when system is powered on without AC
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report on this issue. However, given the number of bugs that the Kernel Team receives during any development cycle it is impossible for us to review them all. Therefore, we occasionally resort to using automated bots to request further testing. This is such a request. We have noted that there is a newer version of the development kernel than the one you last tested when this issue was found. Please test again with the newer kernel and indicate in the bug if this issue still exists or not. You can update to the latest development kernel by simply running the following commands in a terminal window: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade If the bug still exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Confirmed. If the bug no longer exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Fix Released. If you want this bot to quit automatically requesting kernel tests, add a tag named: bot-stop-nagging. [Bug 926286] Re: GeoGebra version available in the repos isn't up to date
Dear Giovanni: well, that really are sad news. I suppose that we must wait until 12.10. But, let me point out that I have installed GeoGebra 4 from the repository provided by software.opensuse.org (link available in my first post). The only obstacle I found (at least for now) is that Ubuntu Update Manager doesn't let me update GeoGebra because 'the update may require installing packages from non authenticated sources'. Update Manager reports that the issue is related to geogebra geogebra-mime-data (Mime database for GeoGebra files). I wave looked at the Update Manager's configuration options, but I can't find the way to enable the process. What am I supposed to do? I think that installing GeoGebra from this repo can be a provisory solution, so it would be great to know how to enable the update from the Update Manager. Please, tell me what to do. [Bug 590140] Re: QtMultimedia module missing from python-qt4
This is because Qt moved/renamed the library to QtMultimediaKit and threw it in with the QtMobility libraries. :/ No, they didn't. This is done for 5.x, not 4.x, what was added is still there. So this is valid bug, Ubuntu should include this module old way, as that one in Mobility package is something different, linking is very different etc. It just breaks things and is inconsistent with other distributions. Public bug reported: To reproduce: 1. take your window, drag it to one side of the screen, or the other, so that it sticks/pins to the side of your screen. [Bug 926900] Re: dconf-editor doesn't reflect custom value
Changed the value manually to 'whiteglass' and it survived logout-in. Installed Precise on another pc today and update alternatives worked fine there. [Bug 889706] Re: Gnome-shell randomly crashes
Hm. I uninstalled Pidgin and Banshee. It is still not stable, but it is far better than before. I only had two segfaults since I stopped using Pidgin and Banshee. But a few times, alt+tab did not work any more and it didn't react to mouse. Keyboard still worked in parts, for example alt+f4 and the super key. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/889706 Title: Gnome-shell randomly crashes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint/+bug/889706/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 891613] Re: Skype Icon shows twice while seaching for it at software-center
i can reproduce it, here's a screenshot Steps to reproduce: 1. open software center 2. search skype minus the quotes That will result in (at least for me) seeing two of the Skype among other apps as well. If you want just thedouble skype (again, at least for me) type skype internet telephony into the search bar and you should see something exactly like my attachment ** Attachment added: Screenshot of bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/891613/+attachment/2717157/+files/skype-software%20center%20bug.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/891613 Title: Skype Icon shows twice while seaching for it at software-center To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/891613/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 870097] Re: Using sudo with virtualenvwrapper causes $HOME/.virtualenvs/hook.log to have have wrong acces rights
this is how sudo works on ubunt, you run as root but retain the users HOME variable. This can configured in sudo with env_reset, see the manpage. To add to this, I saw this issue in VMWare Fusion. Most windows were not drawing properly. It seemed to me that Ubuntu was attempting to load Unity 3D on non-accelerated HW.
