Re: [libreoffice-users] Calc - adding up score numbers

2022-10-21 Thread Hastham S
 Hi
Which version of MS XL are you using ?Which operating system - MAC or Windows ?
Did you check the help URL that I had posted
for example in EXCEL 2003, this is what you do

   -

   - Select the cell(s) whose values should be copied.
   - From the Edit menu, select Copy. ...
   - Select the first cell where the results should be pasted.
   - From the Edit menu, select Paste Special... ...
   - Under Paste, select Values.
   - Click OK

do you see a box like this when you click on paste special ? or what do you
see?

regards

2022-10-21 Thread Paolo Debortoli
I had more problems with .docx files. I guess main problem Is that Microsoft
uses a proprietari xml format pretending It Is standard xml, while It Is not.
Format changes continuosly, making It difficult to manage. So It depends on the
versione of ms .docx. I guess this Will be an issue still in the future.

I still don't understand why governments don't make open standards (and open
source) mandatory.

 Hi Charles
Great to know you are safe.

Regarding the copy paste, I think you are just doing normal Control + C and
Control + V which will copy the formulae
Please try paste special - paste values, when you paste on to the summary sheet

Paste values In MS Excel :
Copy and paste specific cell contents

Copy and paste specific cell contents

Paste values In Libre Office calc :
Paste Special

I would do it this way:

Edit → Track Changes → Record
Edit → Track Changes → Show
Tools → Options → LibreOffice Writer → Changes → Insertions
here switch to

[libreoffice-users] for a given odt, insert new text always in red (corrections)

2022-10-21 Thread Uwe Brauer

Hi

In an already existing odt document I would like to add some text,
however that text should always appear in red (say for corrections).

When I switch to a red font, and set the cursor to a new line, I again
have to activate red.

How can I configure libreoffice so that only new texts appears in red?

Thanks and regards
