My HyGain AV-640 vertical antenna was damaged in a recent winter storm
and will need to come down for repairs once the good weather is here to
stay and I can get around to it. In the mean time I would still like to
use it. The only band that really shows a significant problem is
40-meters.
I'm starting to setup Log4OM on my new computer and it is "talking"
great to my KX3. The software has more bells and whistles than I could
ever imagine using. One of it's features is the ability to connect to

but it is not yet installed in the radio. (I'm a CW guy but plan on doing a
little PSK eventually.) I did not get the DSP board but I did install the

correct 2.2 uF. The wrong part was easily removed and installed in it's
