I've just unlocked my G1. I'm on rogers and have tried all the
different APN's that i've found online. I still can't bypass the
activation screen. I tried calling rogers and the rep said I could
only put on the 2mb data plan and so i'm thinking maybe this data plan
is the reason I can't connect
Hi Guys,
Got my G1 unlocked developer phone. Here is what I did to get it to

1. Deleted all the existing APNs
2. Added a new APN: wap.cingular ( just one entry )
Give it a try and it should work. Good luck !

Hey, I have a G1 phone unlocked and I have this problem There is a
problem communicating with the Google servers... etc. I did as said
above and deleted all APN's then added 'wap.cingular'. This still will

Vladimir, you only need data access for the 5 minute activation

Password: fido
MCC: 302
MNC: 370
* The new SIM cards (3G) use code 370 (three-seven-zero). The old Fido
SIM cards (2G) use mobile network code 37
Does it mean all services which are supposed to be available are
available without ATT data plan? I signed for a data plan, but it's
expensive - additional $30 per month... Another question... if you use
wifi... will they at ATT detect that and will they complain?

I was able to get an unlocked G1 phone onto ATT without an ATT
data plan. I had to add 'wap.cingular' as an apn, only had to provide
'wap.cingular' no other fields. I was then able to log on with my
google account and boot the phone, which currently uses only wifi for
data . I guess the crux
