RE: [ARIE-L] ARIEL woes
Just going back and clearing out my inbox. I've been using Google Drive as an Ariel replacement. I have folders named for the month. I upload the article to the appropriate month and then choose share and enter the ILL e-mail address. I can type in a short message and the recipient receives a link that allows them to download the item. There is no password. Anyone with the link can download the file, so the borrowing library can simply forward it to their patron. When I want to delete all the uploaded documents. I simply wait till the 15th of the following month and then go in and delete everything. I'm sure there are some possible bugs, but so far I haven't run into any. RE: [ARIE-L] ARIEL woes
Hi In Australia we are having similar issues with Ariel and working out a similar system to use. Our problem here is that we supply a lot of articles from databases where the providers have indicated in their licence agreement that we only supply via Ariel or post. We are unable to send as a PDF via Outlook. So, we too are looking for an alternative to Ariel.
