I've noticed over the last week or so the time my Acer XP Pro system is taking to boot up and get JAWS going has increased tremendously. I tried it with JAWS 8 as I heard 9 lags a bit but this made no difference. Only other thing I did lately was install AVG antispyware and IE 7. I've

Ok. Are you actually having trouble finding the file to be able to open it, or does it just seem blank after you open it? Since it sounds like you can open the file, but that it just 'appears' blank, the first thing I'd suggest is that you make sure that the WordPad window is in fact

The only thing I can sort of suggest is to check the Event log (if you're running WinXP). Start menu, Programs, Administrative tools, Event Viewer. Then in the treeview on the left, you can check out either the Application events, or the System events, and you could even try clearing their

Not a problem Jacob. The difficulty was in my software as you suspected. I am using Real Player, Version 10.5. I called the support center and they helped me straighten things out. Now, it plays MIDI files without trouble. As for assigning voices, MIDI has 16 channels which operate
