Heh, me too, I use tintin on linux for most mudding. I used to use one
called muddle, until it quit compiling with the later versions of
linux. I could probably fix it if I wanted to dig into the code enough,
but it's easier to just stick with something that works, and although

Maybe I'm just old and set in my ways, but clients like vipmud or the others
you have mentioned are far too complex for my needs. G mud is probably not much
more than a glorified telnet client, but it does everything I needed to do, and
it works beautifully. Just my opinion, of course. :-)

I agree with you 100% regarding role-playing. It's just not my thing. I don't
have the sufficient imagination for it, and typically, I just go on muds to
distress and, as I call it, gleefully run around killing things. I think
that's another reason I love this world so much. Maybe role-playing
Mud rammer is what I have on my iPhone 8 plus. I logged into Discworld during a
portion of my lunch break, and it seemed to work perfectly. What kind of issue
were you having? I turned off keyboard echo, and I honestly believe that if I
were using my Bluetooth keyboard, it would be an almost

Just got this message now. I'm using voiceover on an iphone SE, and
use mudrammer to play MUDs. IDK why am having trouble with Discworld's MUD,
but so far am getting obliterated when I leave the newbie area and have had no
luck getting anywhere on a path to becoming a wizard in
If it's muds you're after, 3k is a decent one, (3k.org 3000), or it's
sister mud at 3scapes.org Many ports are available, for 3k and 3scapes,
3scapes started out as a clone of 3k, but it's since evolved into it's
own entity. I personally hate muds where roll play is mandetory. I

I've used MudRammer before, but yeah, it definitely helps to have a Windows
computer with a good MUD client, like Mush-client, with a sound pack if the
MUD has one.

I have never seriously tried to play a mud on my iPhone. I have a mud client, I
think, but I can't even remember the last time I used it. what iPhone software
are you trying to use to play muds? In theory, though, especially if you have
a Bluetooth keyboard, it should work exactly the same as
I was actually talking about a game I love called Lensmoor. The

As for Discworld. I've tried playing it and so far haven't had much

I would highly recommend the Discworld mud. You should be able to find the
address fairly easily. If not, I will try to get it out of my mud client and
share it here in a separate message. I think it would check all of your boxes.
It is by far my favorite mug to play.

Hi again, I want to make it clear. I'm not trying to slam a game other
people get something out of. I will say that I did try it, and the people
there were really nice and are good people. I will just say I did at least try
the game a few monbths, and Alter Aeon isn;'t the game for

Hi there, thanks for your replies.
I did try Alter Aeon for half a year, but couldn't get anywhere with
it. got wrecked by their mandatory multiclassing system, which kinda makes
rocket science seem easy, and wound up with a character permanently plateaued
where she can't
Have you looked into Alter Aeon?
It does have a fair bit of combat, but crafting can also be a
significant part of what you do, all depending on your playstyle.

Hello all, my name is Cynthya BrianKate and I am glad to finally find a
group to reach out to as a legally blind gamer. The quick version is, I am in
need of being able to find some accessible role-playing games I can play, which
