thousands??) of CANADA GEESE streaming overhead (very high up). Also

Millions! Canadas and snows! RWBB flying at lower levels.
Saw something kind of cool this morning - huge flock of geese,
traveling north at a high altitude spotted a plane (flying a bit
higher) but suddenly stopped as a group and re-dispersed themselves
like a flock of starlings to change
Here too in Northeast Ithaca. Over 7,000 CANADA'S in a 1 hour skywatch with 3
CACKLINGS picked out. Also a nice low ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK, 3 PINE SISKINS and
thousands of blackbirds. With the first raptors, I'll be heading up to mt
Pleasant soon.

I've been watching the sky from our south facing deck from 8:30 til 1 today and
have seen the massive goose flight but ZERO raptors (except for our local
Redtailed Hawk pair). We are southeast of the lake and this is often the case.
Many more raptors visible from closer to the lake.

Two sandhill cranes fly over Tburg around 1:15pm today. They were vocal and
low. Seemed like they may have landed on the golf course so I trotted on over.
Walking through it right now but haven't seen them.

No luck finding the two sandhill cranes in the Tburg golf course. Probably
didn't land there, but my guess is that they did land somewhere in the greater
Tburg area.

Hi all,
Tim Lenz and I watched migrants from Sunset Park today from about 10:30am-2pm.
We had about 45,000 CANADA GEESE in total with 7 CACKLING GEESE and 19 SNOW
GEESE mixed in. Towards the end of the count, Tim spotted a GREATER
WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE landing at the Swan Pen with two Canada
This afternoon I was pleasantly surprised to see a Robin scurrying
through our garden looking for a tidbit.
That, coupled with the several TVs I saw circling yesterday over West
Hill, convinces me that spring is nearly here.

Hi Dave and all,
As for the Snow Geese, they seem to be scattered all over the places. I am not
sure if some of them went further north. I found a large flock at Muckland
maybe 30 thousand plus. Then I found many in the fields as well as a few
thousand at Carncross road.
I heard several shots
Having read the guides, males in a flock of American Tree Sparrows at the

sweet. The flock was hanging in the low shrubbery at the two-track that
I am curious why that is the place where the snow geese and tundra swans
congregate
