Early this afternoon during a lull in both taxi business and rain I pulled in
to East Shore Park. Among about 20 Tree Swallows working the area was at least
one NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW. This was an exciting discovery, my first of
this species this year. However eBird shows that the first
Tuesday evening Ken and I went over to Burdick Hill Rd with the hope of finding
Eastern Meadowlarks. We ran into Bob Horn who pointed us to a section of the

The annual Stewart Park/Waterfront Cleanup is this Saturday from 10am to
noon. The Cayuga Bird Club invites members and non-members alike to
participate. We will meet at the Swan Pen at 10am and will proceed to
