Red-headed woodpecker continues at the same white oak in Palmer Woods this
morning (as pointed out to me by CU student Jeremy), hanging out on the north
facing side, looking to be making OCD adjustments to its granary.

76.481159 W, first seen attacking a pileated woodpecker who held fast for a bit
before fleeing. It's been foraging and stashing food in a white oak, and making
occasional forays to shoo off interloping blue jays. It appears
Shirley reports that she just saw a RED-HEADED WOODPECKER being chased thru
our side yard by a Pileated WP. She knows the difference between
Red-headed and Red-bellied WPs and clearly saw the all-red head and
