Our changeover to a new Website location:

A rough draft story about the Chicago prosecutor being fired,
including many paragraphs and a title that had long since been removed
over the last 24 hours was placed online by a new webmaster who was
collecting all the files from our previous website. He placed the
rough draft file online by mistake and feels very badly about it. This
was only a working draft and should never have been placed online. So
we retract the rough draft post in its entirety.

 Bush Plans to Fire Prosecuter

Bush Plans to Fire Prosecuter by Tom Flocco - August 7, 2005
TomFlocco.com
Sunday morning online editions of Newsweek and Time are reporting
that the
President is planning to fire Chicago's U.S. Federal Prosecutor Patrick
Fitzgerald and replace him with a Bush classmate/Skull and Bonesman from
 Yale.

Following on the heels of these reports, we have learned from U.S.
intelligence sources that federal agents are prepared to immediately
arrest
Mr. Bush if he fires Fitzgerald and seeks to obstruct justice and commit
additional treasonous acts regarding ongoing grand jury proceedings
against
 his administration and himself.

TomFlocco.com reported last week that Fitzgerald's grand jury voted out
perjury and obstruction of justice True Bills or federal criminal
indictments against President Bush, Vice-President Cheney, Attorney
General
Alberto Gonzalez, former Attorney General John Ashcroft, former CIA
Director
George Tenet, Presidential Senior Advisor Karl Rove, Presidential
Chief of
Staff Andrew Card, Vice-Presidential Chief of Staff I. Scooter Libby,
imprisoned New York Times reporter Judith Miller and Vice-Presidential
 Senior Advisor Mary Matalin.

On Friday, federal whistleblower Tom Heneghen reported that the true
bills
also listed Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist and Justice
 Antonin Scalia as unindicted co-conspirators.

According to sources close to the grand jury, Fitzgerald's citizen
panel is
now able to prove that George W. Bush was not legitimately elected
president
in the 2000 election; but more importantly, it has fingered the United
States Supreme Court for fraud, obstruction of justice and treason,
making
 the Bush terms totally illegal.

The scope of the indictments and investigations indicates that the grand
jury's indicted criminal acts reaching back to 2000 will lead to further
legitimate assumptions that Bush-Cheney involvement in the 9.11
attacks and
sending American young people to war based upon lies orchestrated by Mr.
Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair are both squarely in the
sights
 of the grand jury.

[cia-drugs] A credible plan to take down the Internet - Ciscogate

2005-08-08 Thread norgesen

A credible plan to take down the
Internet
By Robert
VamosiSenior editor, CNET
ReviewsAugust 5, 2005
Forget the Fantastic Four. As I write, the forces of Good (the White
Hats) and Evil (the Black Hats) are fighting for control of the Internet as we
know it. At stake is the exploitation of flaws affecting the once-invincible
Cisco router hardware, which currently carries most of the Internet's traffic on
a daily basis. Once a working exploit for the Cisco IOS Shellcode is available
on the Internet, it'll be only a matter of days before someone finds a way to
craft it into a network worm. And then it's going to be a rough ride for
everyone who uses the Internet. Unless, of course, the forces of Good prevail.

Hyperbole? Perhaps, but a credible threat to the infrastructure of the
Internet does exist. All indications suggest that the clock is ticking toward
some kind of showdown between criminal hackers and the good guys. Unfortunately,
the bad guys have a head start.

At stake is the exploitation of flaws affecting the
once-invincible Cisco router hardware, which currently carries most of the
Internet's traffic on a daily basis.

The threatPrior to this year's Black
Hat security conference, security researchers and network administrators assumed
that Cisco routers were invincible, a reputation that surely helped lead to the
widespread adoption of Cisco routers across the Internet. The Cisco operating
system is proprietary, and much of the specific internal hardware in the Cisco
router is undocumented. Until recently, the idea of penetrating the Cisco
Shellcode via remote access was fanciful. That was before security researcher Michael Lynn stepped up the lectern at this year's
Black Hat conference, and after first stumbling through a deliberately faux
presentation on VoIP security, proceeded to describe some (but not all) of his
research to a skeptical audience. During his presentation, Lynn offered a quick
demo of how he could access the root of a Cisco router remotely. Like the first
runner breaking the four-minute-mile mark, Lynn emboldened other researchers to
go out and see for themselves.
Lynn said in his press conference one day later that his Black Hat
presentation was perhaps only 5 percent of what someone would need to know to
wreak havoc on the Internet, but he confirmed that his exploit, which he is
legally barred from sharing, has the potential to harm hardware: "It's a
software flaw that damages hardware." What he means is that by remotely
attacking the Cisco IOS Shellcode, you could destroy the instruction set on the
hardware that tells the router to turn on again. Talk about disrupting the
regular flow of traffic on the Internet! Following Black Hat, Cisco issued an advisory detailing how flaws in the way older Cisco IOS
system process IP6v packets could allow a remote user control of the router.

But it's not really a secret, is
it?But the point here isn't whether Lynn should have presented at Black
Hat; it's whether Cisco was going to elaborate on information that many security
researchers already suspected was in the hands of the bad guys. Lynn started his
research in late January at the behest of his former employer, Internet Security
Systems (ISS), and by February, he found a hole. In an interview with Cisco really is under
attackLast summer, someone stole the Cisco IOS source code, chunks of
which are rumored to be on sale even today via the Internet. Lynn said he worked
with reverse-engineered binary code--1s and 0s--which is much harder to piece
together, but he did it. If the bad guys already have access to the source code,
their task would be that much easier, especially now that Lynn's entire
presentation--literally
Researchers I spoke to at the Black Hat conference
said they weren't expecting a network worm to surface anytime soon, but
all admitted that the possibility exists.

And it gets worse. Cisco has confirmed that its customer password system has been compromised. Details
are unclear, but the compromise might detail the hardware that individual
customers are running. This is exactly the kind of preliminary research that a
criminal hacker would do before crafting an attack, either a one-time attack on
a specific company or a government, or a widespread network worm. So now someone
may own a copy of the Cisco IOS source code, may be working on an exploit of a
known flaw, and may even have a list of Cisco customers and the hardware they
own--sounds to me like a credible, nefarious plan to take down the Internet.

What this means to you and meMany
security researchers I spoke to at the Black Hat conference said they weren't
expecting a network worm to surface anytime soon, but all admitted that the
possibility exists. If anything, the flurry of news reports about the flaw has
prompted large companies to patch their Cisco routers ASAP. That's good.

Bush Flees
United
States for
Saudi
Arabia as
Israel Accelerates Attack Timetable in Continuing Secret War
with America, US Prepares For Martial Law
By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her
Russian Subscribers
Russian FSB reports circulating today among
Intelligence Analysts are reporting that the Saudi Arabia Government has
surrounded with Military Forces a large area of their capital city Riyadh,
including the United States, British and Russian Embassies, in order to protect
the America President George Bush who entered Saudi Arabia last evening with a
large contingent of his family members and personal aides.
It is interesting to note in these reports
that the American President was accompanied by United States Military Protection
Forces instead of the customary contingent of Secret Service Protection Forces,
leading some Intelligent Analysts to suspect the American President no longer
has confidence in those Secret Service Forces protecting his
life.
These reports also state that the American
Presidents Saudi Arabia visit is only to last two days and he will stay at the
American Embassy which has already announced their closure, but for reasons not
related to the true facts, and as we can read as reported by the New York Times
News Service in their article titled "U.S. Closes Offices in Saudi Arabia" and which says,
"United States diplomatic missions in Saudi Arabia will be closed
for at least two days in response to possible threats against American
buildings, embassy officials said Sunday. No specific details were provided, but
a statement posted Saturday on the embassy's Web site warned of "ongoing
security concerns in the region, including for seaborne vessels traveling in the
southern Red Sea," Reuters reported."
The reasons being speculated upon in the
American President fleeing his country have to do with the United States Secret
War upon Israel, and whom the American President blames for the September 11,
2001 New York Massacre, and which has taken a most ominous turn with today’s
announcement of the resignation of the Israeli Finance Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu, and as we can read as reported by the CBN News Service in their
article titled "Israel Facing Shock of Netanyahu Resignation" and which
says;
"Israeli
Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shook up his country's government when he
resigned from the cabinet Sunday. He stepped down after the cabinet voted for
the forced evacuation of three Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip. Netanyahu
said, “I think there is a great battle in the world today, between the forces of
terror and the forces of freedom. The only way that we can win this battle -
anywhere, everywhere - is by confronting terror, and not appeasing it.
Appeasement doesn't work. You can try to go around this a hundred times. It just
doesn't work.”
This resignation
signals a significant shift in the Israeli Criminal Government of the War
Criminal Ariel Sharon in that the United States has already signaled its
intention to destroy both Sharon and his allies, and as exampled by the United
States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s last visit to Israel where she
warned them of the American Presidents intentions, and as we can read as
reported by Israel’s Ynet News Service in their article titled "Rice turns heat on Israel" and which says,

"According to New York Times report, U.S. Secretary of State
adopted ‘forceful’ stand in recent dealings with Israeli officials, rejected
requests for aid. According to the report, “Rice has been forceful and even
abrupt in her dealings with senior Israeli officials, including the Foreign and
Defense Ministers, Silvan Shalom and Shaul Mofaz.” According to Israeli
officials, on her recent trip to Israel the Secretary of State "ran the meetings
with them in their offices, taking control of the agenda and even announcing
when they would end,” the New York Times
reported."
Particularly
upsetting to the Americans has been Israel’s support of
China, and who the
United
States is seeking to neutralize
before their seemingly unstoppable power lands on
America’s doorstep itself. Toward that end, and under the War
Criminal Sharon’s orders, Israel has provided China with massive amounts of
sophisticated weapons and expertise their massive American Spying Operation has
stolen from the United States Military Forces, and to which the Americans have
been greatly alarmed, and as we can read in Israel’s Haaretz News Service report
titled “China: Ties with U.S. damaged by quashed Phalcon

It is a simple fact of geological life that, to use the words of the
late L. Fletcher Prouty, ...Putting a price on a gallon of gas is
like putting a price on a pail of water

The earth is an oil generating machine.

To the extent that corrupt regimes pollute the environment and
murder indigenous populations - well if it weren't oil then it would
be some other damn thing.

What is your point?

Do you honestly believe that reliance on some other form of energy
would automatically make corrupt politicians and rapacious corporate
opportunists act like good world citizens? - HA!

Simon Bolivar had the right idea. He would not let the corrupt ideas
of the Benthamites enter into the university curricula in South
America. Unfortunately, for every Bolivar there are 200 Pinochets.

Good luck.

Ruppert is still a horse's ass who shills for the Club of Rome gang.

U.S. mulls sanctions on Venezuela over drug
move

By Saul HudsonReutersMonday, August 8, 2005; 8:29
PM

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States is considering punishing
Venezuela with sanctions for breaking off work with U.S. anti-drug agents in the
world's top cocaine-exporting region, the State Department said on
Monday.
In a new blow to fraying ties between the United States and a key oil
supplier, President Hugo Chavez said on Sunday he had suspended cooperation with
the Drug Enforcement Administration because it was unnecessary and accused the
U.S. agency of spying on his government.

"The fears are baseless," State Department spokesman Adam Ereli told
reporters. "I think it's pretty clear to us that the motivation for this is not
the accusation itself ... The motivation is an effort to detract from the
government's increasingly deficient record of cooperation."
Chavez said Venezuela would continue to work with international
organizations to combat drug trafficking.
Next month, the State Department must by law judge if Venezuela has
failed to cooperate in the drug war, a decision that could trigger a range of
sanctions including blocking cheap credit for businesses and counternarcotics
aid.
Chavez' suspension decision "would obviously have an impact on
deliberations concerning our annual decision-making process," Ereli
said.
Even before Sunday's decision, the top U.S. diplomat for Latin America,
Roger Noriega, had suggested to Congress it would be difficult this year to
certify Venezuela as cooperating in the drug war.
Venezuela, which Washington has sanctioned for failing to combat human
trafficking, would then be blacklisted along with countries such as
Myanmar.
Ereli said Venezuela had already this year severed military-to-military
cooperation and failed to respond to U.S. recommendations in March on how the
countries could improve their joint fight against drug barons.
"Failure to cooperate only benefits narcotraffickers," he
said.
Both countries had agreed until recently to work together in the fight,
but cooperation has been strained by mistrust, corruption and the chilly
relations between Caracas and Washington, foreign security officials
say.
Venezuela is an important transport route for cocaine from neighboring
Colombia -- the world's No. 1 exporter of the drug -- to Europe and the United
States.
Washington, a key client for Venezuelan oil, views Chavez as a threat
to stability in the region. He complains of U.S. interference in the South
American nation.

[cia-drugs] Intelligence Brief: Economic Nationalism

2005-08-08 Thread Vigilius Haufniensis

09 August 2005In light of Iran's recent
statements, we encourage you to read our previous Intelligence Brief on the
country:
"Intelligence Brief:
Iran"http://www.pinr.com/report.php?ac=view_reportreport_id=322--Intelligence Brief: Economic Nationalism
Drafted By: Dr. Michael A. Weinstein http://www.pinr.com Since the emergence of
globalized capitalist markets in the nineteenth century, the trade policies of
states have cycled between support of liberalization and adherence to economic
nationalism, depending on whether significant domestic interests are winning or
losing in international competition. The majority of economists who argue
that free trade increases wealth in the long run and on the whole through the
operation of comparative advantage also admit that in the short run some
industries and regions are disadvantaged -- often severely -- by shifts in
production to more efficient and innovative enterprises. The inevitability of
winners and losers in trade competition opens the way for the latter to seek
state protection and subsidies, either to allow them to mature into effective
competitors or simply to survive.Attempts to use the state to protect
economic interests are normal, and success or failure is mainly dependent on the
domestic balance of power, which in large advanced economies is determined by
continual face-offs between winning and losing industries and sectors. More
general shifts between liberalization and protectionism call into play public
opinion, which can deepen and increase the scope of incipient
tendencies.Long the major supporter of trade liberalization in world
forums, the United States has recently had to adjust to growing economic
nationalism in the U.S. that is likely to result in a slowing and perhaps a
reversal of the thrust toward liberalized global markets.During the week
of August 1, Washington found itself on the nationalist side of the trade
spectrum when China National Offshore Oil Corporation (C.N.O.O.C.) withdrew its
bid for U.S. oil company Unocal, citing "unprecedented political opposition,"
and Tokyo, acting within the guidelines of a World Trade Organization (W.T.O.)
decision against Washington on steel tariffs, moved to impose punitive tariffs
on some goods produced in the U.S. Although the Bush administration did not come
down on the side of U.S. Congressional opponents of the C.N.O.O.C. bid and
proponents of protecting the U.S. steel industry, it did nothing to resist the
drift toward nationalism. [See: "Intelligence Brief: Unocal"]C.N.O.O.C.
WithdrawsC.N.O.O.C.'s bid to take over Unocal collapsed after both
houses of the Republican-controlled Congress agreed to propose a bill that would
require the departments of defense, energy and homeland security to investigate
the bid before it was vetted through normal administrative procedures. The
Congressional pressure, which promised to delay a successful C.N.O.O.C.
takeover, was the result of a full-scale lobbying campaign by Unocal's other
suitor -- Chevron -- that gained the support of security hawks as well as
legislators in Chevron's constituencies, and spread to lawmakers playing to
sentiments of economic nationalism. The success of Chevron's strategy of
throwing the viability of C.N.O.O.C.'s bid into question prompted Institutional
Shareholder Services, a proxy advisory service, to announce on August 1 that
Chevron's lower bid was "not unreasonable" in light of Congressional pressure
which "opens the door for adverse developments that could place a C.N.O.O.C. bid
in jeopardy." C.N.O.O.C. withdrew its offer the next day, clearing the way for
Chevron's takeover. The two most significant factors in C.N.O.O.C.'s
failure were the intensity of Congressional opposition to its bid and the
silence of the Bush administration throughout the fray. With powerful U.S.
business interests on both sides of the issue, it is likely that the
Congressional tilt to economic nationalism and the administration's acquiescence
in it were fueled by the mobilization of popular sentiment against China over
U.S. job losses, which made Congressional opposition to C.N.O.O.C.'s bid
politically expedient and the administration's acquiescence in it politically
prudent.Tokyo Strikes BackOn August 3, Tokyo announced
its imposition of punitive tariffs on a range of U.S. goods, including ball
bearings and aircraft components, in retaliation for the failure of Congress to
repeal the Byrd Amendment, which diverts the proceeds of U.S. tariffs placed on
foreign steel that has been determined to have been dumped on the U.S. market
directly to domestic U.S. steel producers.Tokyo had argued successfully
before the W.T.O. that the Byrd Amendment violated international trade
agreements because it not only penalized Japanese producers, but also rewarded
their U.S. competitors. Since the W.T.O. decision, the Bush administration has
sought to have the Byrd
