Actually, no; the reason I thought it might be an fglrx bug is because
in the reports I found from when this error message was prevalent, it
was specifically described as being not an xcb bug but a bug in the
calling application. According to Wine, they

I just started gnomebaker from the commandline to get a more useful out.
Segfaulting occurs in 2 cases:
1. when you click on the add files button
2. when you navigate back in the path (button)
I got this messages when doing it on an amd64 machine:

The most important part of diff between mips (good) and mipsel
(failed) builds is:
checking for SWSCALE_LIBS... -lswscale
checking for python
