You should change that to HOP 0 (with HOP 1, you're telling Declude

SpamAssassin plugs into Declude!
Hello,
Just wondering,
I'm using Declude with F-prot anti virus.
when F-prot and declude scan for viruses, does it clean the virus/message.
Or does it just delete the whole message?
thanks in advance for your time!

It will either quarantine or delete the E-mail. It does not clean them
(since about 99% of all viruses are in virus-generated E-mails,
It depends on your setting in the cfg file.
Look at the following entry:
#
# The DELETEVIRUSES option, when set to ON, will delete viruses, rather than
quarantine them.
# It is recommended to leave this at OFF. Works with v1.30 and higher.
#
DELETEVIRUSES ON
We have ours set to on to delete
I hold them in the Virus folder just so I can check how much activity is
going on if I want to, and a scheduled batch file clears the folder every
two hours.

Is there a way for AntiSpam to block e-mails by file attachments? A lot of
viruses are going around with the .pif attachment I'd like to set the
AntiSpam up to block these from even coming in.
Until we find that spammers start using file attachments, we likely won't
add that to Declude
Hi Brent-
The easiest way to handle that is to block the attachment at the firewall.
Then even Declude doesn't have to deal with it.
We block SCR, PIF, COM, EXE, WSH, VBS, and maybe a few others.

Get Declude Virus. It allows banning of files by extension. Scott also
recently added the ability to ban encrypted zips (Standard version) and
extensions within zips (encrypted or otherwise - PRO version). An
inexpensive virus scanner like F-Prot or AVG and you're all set.
Darin.

You can use the Imail message rules to do that, search the ipswitch
knowledge base for how to

That would be a Sender Blacklist, which requires Declude JunkMail
Standard or Pro.

If you type \IMail\Declude from a command prompt, it should show
1.78i9. If not, you aren't running the latest interim release, and
will need to copy the new Declude.exe file to the \IMail\ directory.
