I upgraded to Imail 8.2 (hf1)2 weeks ago, running declude (Declude
v1.81). I have had SMTP crash twice with these errors before going into
overflow directory. SMTP would not start and had to be rebooted.
Any suggestions?

I know there is a HF2 for 8.20 now. Also, looking up error 1455 it seems to
indicate that you may have not had enough virtual memory. Could this be the
case? I know there is some oddity with smtpd memory usage where it will
balloon until the service is restarted - are you experiencing that?
I have 2 gigs RAM with 4 gigs Virtual, dual Zeon 3.06 on a Compaq DL380
with 6 SCSI's.
Has been running rock solid on 8.05 until I upgraded to 8.2 2 weeks ago.
What is the newest version of Declude that is stable with 8.2, anyone?

Chris,
The following was Declude's response to 8.2 compatability.

Hi all,
I have a need to use Declude to filter mail to a user's spambox based on
X-IMAIL-SPAM in the headers (we're still using an imail filter that we don't
want to give up).
I created a custom filter file with the following:
HEADERS 10 CONTAINSX-IMAIL-SPAM
(separated by tabs)
I do not think this will work. The imail headers are added after declude
sees the email

Actually, some IMail spam tests run before being passed to Declude and some
after. The JunkMail archives will contain the gory details.

correct William - but the headers are after. I already tried to do this
awhile ago without success.. Key here is though - awhile

Bill, thanks-- this helps a lot.
The imail statistics test was one I wanted to capture with declude, but mostly

Thanks for the FYI, Mike.
So, question is... will Ipswitch create hotfixes or workarounds for versions
before 8.2? Or is everyone forced to upgrade to 8.2?

Bill, another excellent suggestion-- thanks!
I enabled a HOLD action and took a look at the headers, and sure enough-- no
imail headers.
Strangely, my rule did catch one. It was an imail phrase test that got caught
by Declude, but strangely the other 4000 messages filtered by the phrase

Well, I was _trying_ to take the high road...grin
Hopefully, as Kevin is suggesting, the webmail vulnerability is only with
calendaring.

I was concerned that there might be vulnerabilities in the main webmail

It looks like it will be 4 IMAP Vulnerabilties and 1 Web Calendering
vulnerability.

8.1x has the patch out - I would suggest posting to the Imail list for

One other thing to mention it looks like HF2 for 8.20 fixes all of the
vulnerabilities - the smtpd32 issue looks like that was a bug fix and not
part of the vulnerabilities.

Oh, right...I didn't read it closely enough to realize it was just web
