In order for me to enter the solid-state ham radio world I need to sell some
of my coveted Drake equipment to folk who appreciates vintage Drake quality
and its history.
For sale is a Drake TR-4C transceiver, serial #36799 (with full set of
10-meter crystals), accompanying AC-4
I am looking for the rod which controls the safety interlock on the RF deck for
an L7. It looks like at one time the rig became so hot that when removing the
rod it broke. I am also looking for any guidance as to how hot the thermostat
that controls the fan speed must get to bypass the resistor
Solid state rigs, especially those from Asia is difficult if not impossible to
fix when it breaks. You will nearly always be able to find parts for tube
rigs. Keep the TR-4C as a spare if nothing else.
