Byterunner USB2-4COM-M works great. FTDI chipset with four fully

Hi Byron!
I use a ByteRunner USB2-4COM-M to create 4 real COM ports from one
USB port.

I use the ByteRunner to control my radio, rotator, and power meter, with one
port left over
them. Maybe that is what you are seeing?

Good day,
I'm just doing some casual operating in the SPDX Contest, and found an
unusual DX4WIN response. I'm not using Contest Mode. I fill in the QSO
data in the Entry Window, but before hitting Enter, I hit Alt-A which graps the
callsign from the Entry Window. So far so good. However,
Having recently installed a 160m antenna here for the first time, I am starting
completely new on this band. I find that I am doing a huge amount of tuning
on the band, and find the DX4WIN bandmap useful for skipping over stations

I had waited for 8.03 to be released to
It would be great if ALL the columns in the logbook window, as currently
configured by the user, would retain their widths over a shutdown/restart.
Currently, Name and QTH do not.

I am using a K3 with v7.07 of DX4WIN.
Everything seems fine, except that I just notices that DX4WIN isn't

If you are already in SPLIT, and click on a

Here is the answer to my question:
File | Databases | Radio
Select K3
Select Values tab
In mode values, select CW
You will see the values 3 and 7
Select the check box next the the second row
File save changes and exit.
This works.
Tnx to Paul for the tip.

I was helping a friend set up his brand new v6.02. He has an IC-765.
We noticed that clicking on a CW spot would properly send the radio
to the frequency, but would set the CW filter to Wide. Is there a
modification to the radio control file for the 765 which will send the

Yes, that is the way it used to work. In fact, the size of the send

liked it the old way, and wonder if there is some new functionality that

I actively chase new band/mode QSOs. Right now (6.01), there is no
spot color that will tell me that I have never worked the spotted station
on a particular band/mode (eg. 80m CW). It makes perfect sense to
me that DX4WIN should be able to tell me that. If the inverse video
