If you enter the callsign by hand into the logbook, the mode will be

I have the same issue, and find the recommendation helpful, as it confirms
what I do.
However, I caution that at least in my experience, the QUOTE Radio | Ignore
Mode in real-time UNQUOTE has to be manually set for each QSO.
After logging a QSO, at least my set-up reverts to the current mode
This is an idle curiosity note/observation
There are many WPX awards; but the filter just seems to collect band mixed
totals. This is good for tracking band awards and mode awards, but not for
Continental awards.

Once the submitted flags are set, do an F8 search for DXCC BAND
submitted flag, then export to ADIF, when it asks you whether to

Hi, I recently upgraded to Windows 7 with DX4WIN. I have noticed that
DX4WIN operated slower as in when I click on a spot, or especially in
RTTY where it will decode but the letters going across the screen are
always jerky and slow. Then it will go faster for a few then back the
same way. Any
Switched to Win7 about 6 months ago, when I got a new laptop. I don't
do RTTY any more, other than a quick exchange using the decode on the
K3, but haven't noticed any negative speed issues.

John,
Are you connected to a rig interface? If so, try stopping the radio,
then see if there are any changes in operation.
I had a similar problem here after I switched to Win7 and a new FT-950
about the same time.
In my case DX4Win would be slow to respond to mouse clicks, appear to

I have an installation of Windows 8 at home, running on a new Intel
Core I7-3770 processor with a lot of other good stuff.
DX4WIN runs OK, but I did notice a couple of things that are slightly
different (both cosmetic):
1. In the main title bar (DX4WIN 8.05 callsign name), the text is

I just used Jim, AD1C's, excellent data updater program to update my DX4W
before making a LOTW submission. It worked great, first telling me there was
a newer version available, updating me to the latest version, and then
updating all my files.
Having said that I have a question concerning the
