I agree with you on the the fact that there are nice traditions outthere, kept
on going by true enthusiasm (rather than public money) such as Amateur Radio,
and I wish there were more like it based on cooperation and unconditional help

Be aware that class-D (digital) audio amplifiers like this, in combination
with long loudspeaker wires, don't always go so well with amateur radio.
Sometimes they radiate well into the lower short-wave range. Unless of

A low-pass filter on the output works well, and is easy to construct if the
power is reasonable! A 3-pole Chebyshev filter works well.
In the datasheets for these amplifiers there's usually a recommendation to
do as much unless the cable to the speaker is very short (ie. built into the
unit).

My manual says the KIO3 may be defective, not the K3. Read the instructions
there about operating without KIO3.

Besides other grounding and lightning protection, which have been covered
