can investigate any remaining problems. Note that those diodes can be half
bad and may show as good with a diode test - replacement is the first order
of business.

The K2 with the ATU behaves as expected - internal meter
Hi Group
I have been given the opportunity to try a THP HL50 with the KX3 and the K2.
What precautions with QSK delay should I take with either rig. This is a short
term workaround with the K2 before I fix the watt meter diodes. However, with
the KX3 it might be a longer term proposition

The K2 with the ATU behaves as expected - internal meter agrees well with
the external meter, current draw is as expected, and so forth for various
power levels up to 10watts checked out. It was connected to a dummy load
across the feedline and the coax shield should be
grounded. In any case, install an antenna switch and switch the K2 to a
dummy load when not in use.

My. K2/100 is acting up in that it is showing high SWR even on a dummy load.
Any ideas on whether the K2 finals may be blown? It behaves the same way on all
the bands. It displays high current with the power set to 3 watts or more. My
K2 is SN7105.
Will appreciate diagnostic help.

The K2/100 is a nice entry level station - good ears and a price point about
$900 less than a K3/100. I have both the k2/100 and a KX3. For the same reason
that Duane says, it is nice to have the 100w amp. If one chooses the KX3, one
can build a Juma 100w amp for about 420 euros. A fellow

Don Wilhelm's parts list includes 2 25v electrolytic capacitors. The
capacitors are out of stock at Mouser. Can I substitute 50v capacitors which
are in stock?
