Hi Tom,
I had my K2/100 driving an Alpha 87A at WP2Z for ARRL SSB test. The K2 got
quite hot and the fan ran a lot. But no ill effects other than keep your

I believe the prototype front panel was configured and labeled like Paul's
modified rig.
I like that configuration too.

Does anyone have
interrupt the playback of a recorded message unless you hit ESC.
Using the KDVR is a simpler hookup with programming the F1-F4 keys in N1MM
rather than using the pc's audio card and less chance of feedback, hum and
other potential issues.

Tnx for the great implementation of the APF. Now if only there was a spare
switch? Maybe when Santa brings me a P3 I could toggle the APF from there?

That is specifically why I would not want the VOX to interrupt the KDVR.

Also I think I should install 4.14 in my second K3 to compare the two
versions to see if I hear the difference you are hearing

Hi Steve,
Using the cable that came with my K3 I measure on the K3's meter display
13.6V key up and 12.4 - 12.6V key down at 100W out on 10-20M. Roughly 1.2A
in receive and 20A in transmit mode.

I should have waited another day to upgrade from 4.17 to 4.22 in the other
K3 to see if the earlier version did it too. May have to install earlier
version again to see if it is still there.

Just tried 4.17 - same problem. Loaded 4.14 and the Autonotch problem went
away.

Weird, but I have the same problem with the B encoder on one of my K3's. If
I pull slightly on VFOB nothing changes. If I push on it slightly it works
fine. I guess the first thing I should try is to resolder the connections on
the encoder.
Any other ideas?

I did notice
with
the sub-receiver while I am decoding the RTTY on the main receiver. I am
using two MMTTY programs at the same time.
What would be nice if there were two independent inputs and outputs on a
sound card.
Tnx for any feedback
