Hi Peggy, Ring spinning frames are indeed, industrial spinners. Go to www.ozarkcarding.com to our process page and you will be able to see a picture of our cotton ring spinner. Wool, alpaca, etc can be spun on ring spinners. The size of the ring depends upon the length of the fiber to be spun.

I like it, but it doesn't replace my Reeves. But for doing a large pile of wool in a way that I can control and enjoy the results it is fun. I even get paid which seems amazing to me. By the way, the ring spinning frame I use is from Carolina Specialtys, not McDermott. McDermotts retrofitted
