What a treat the Alabama contingent of Flexers enjoyed at the ARRL
National Convention in Huntsville, AL. The crowds were very large on
Saturday and I suspect today will not be an exception. The interest in
Flex-Radio was outstanding with many people stopping in and testing the
waters. For
I am having a problem with digimodes and would appreciate comments.
I am running a SDR-1K with DEM 144MHz transvwerter, which drives a 70MHz
transverter. I am using WSJT v 5.9.7 and VAC4.07.
When transmitting in any of the digimodes (i.e. FSK/JT6M/JT65) there are

David,
I assume you are using a registered (purchased) copy of VAC. The
unregistered demo version will cause this behavior.

Reuben,
Another alternative to the Samlex 1223 is the Alinco DM-300MV. It is a
switching supply therefore MUCH smaller lighter than the Astron. Of
course, it costs more, too ($130-$160 USD in the US). Output voltage is
adjustable 5-15 VDC, with a preset at 13.8 VDC. Current rating is 32 Amp
Yes I did make the purchase there, And NO they had NONE FOR IMMEDIATE
DELIVERY, I am now on the list just as is everyone else. I believe had they
had any for immediate delivery, they would have sold out. Needless to say, I
am looking forward to October. Hi Hi. Truthfully, I remained unsure
I just downloaded PowerSDR 1.10.1 and got it all configured. Nice job guys!
And I appreciate the humor you put into this version! Gave me a good chuckle.

Jerry,
You have to be logged into the support site '
http://suport.flex-radio.com ' in order to enter a bug report. If you
don't have an account, you can create one at:
http://support.flex-radio.com/urs.aspx
After you've logged in, use the menu system to select: Bug Tracker
Add a New Bug
I figured out how to enter these in to the bug database and have done so.

One little mislabel in the software.
The RF label has now become AGC but it definitely still controls the rf
gain.

Hi David
Check if the Sampling Rate at the VAC setup is set to 48000, that might
be the case because the default
setting on a new install is at 11025

Can anybody using Ozzy/Janus provide a comparison to the standard D44
or FA66 sound cards?
Subjective/qualitative comparisons are fine... I'm just curious,

Hello George,
The control's name was deliberately changed. It actually functions as an
AGC threshold control rather than an RF gain control, and the name was
changed to more accurately represent it's action.

I have entered this on the Flex feature request list:
This weekend I operated 16 hours in the SARTG RTTY contest with my
SDR-1000 as my only radio. I REALLY missed an easy-to-use RIT
control. Modern RTTY decoder software with Automatic Tuning helps,
but RIT is still necessary.

Please do not sacrifice use of the scroll wheel to tune the rig
though, that would be a major problem for me! If some key/scroll
combination could tune the RIT it would be great (Ctrl-wheel?)

I would hope for an option to set it to this function IF the op
desired, just like we can now set/change the keyboard shortcuts optionally.

How about this; make a new tab in the setup menu called Mouse. Within
that tab could be selectable functions per wheel movement, and Left mouse
clicks. The default could be what they do today (tune pull down menu).
