Perhaps someone can send me in the right direction with the following. We
use XSL-FO to create slideshows. I would now like to also create slide
handouts. I would like to levearge the existing XSL-FO that creates the
presentation slides. The easiest would be if i can somehow shrink the pages
Many printer drivers can do this sort of manipulation for you, e.g. 2 up
printing. Or you could use a 'virtual' printer driver like the one from
FinePrint.

Hi;
How can I use ImageIO from FOP ? I saw no MimeConstant to suggest outputing an
Image supported by imageio. The end result would be a transparency enabled GIF,
since the transparent PNG succesfully generated with fop 0.95 is not fully
supported by IE6 and I would try a hackless GIF solution

ImageIO is used automatically (if available), but this applies more to
images inserted into the FO, not to the output targets.

Can you point me to an example of rendering to Java2D? The single AWT example

Hi Everybody,
I am using FOP for generating the AFP output from the FO file. When we have
the color Images with say 300dpi (which is not possible to use them as page
segment as they come dynamically), the AFP output file size is too big. Is
there a way that i can compress the images? So, that
I have tried doing that but it is not working it is including all pdf pages
one on top of other and including it as one page in the output.

Hi Pascal,
I tried this option. but the vertical line is breaking and its not coming

I am using latest trunk build FOP jar to generate PDF file.

Hi Bharat,
If your AFP environment supports it, you could try embedding you images
natively (instead of IOCA FS45) using the images native=true/ user
configuration option (see
http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/trunk/output.html#afp-image-config).

Hi Bharat,
Yes your output file size should be much smaller especially if you have
repeated images. But do check that your AFP environment supports the
image type you are embedding.
