Hi,
Does anyone know if Vista has a Central Sterile Supplies Unit (CSSU)
application which captures information pertaining to production cycle,
supply to clients and return of used-products for recycling and
inventory? The system needs to monitor the inventory and stock level of
consumables,
In the computer system in my hospital this is the
process for signing in to sign off electronic medical
records
1. Sign in to windows
2. sign into EMR client
3. sign into sign-documents client
4. sign off the chosen documents.
With this, I have to have 3 different logins
passwords -- all of
For your next project, you could maybe try implementing single sign-on
(http://us4.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/ and

Apparently Kernel hasn't caught up with the changes and the Customer
Services folks have had to come up with the code. The functionality of the
attached routine hasn't yet made it into the formal VistA patch stream.
(I've asked that it get included ASAP.)

Agree with the nuisance factor. And systems that have that sort of
bureaucratic obstruction have seen their time. Biometric technology is in
the pipeline to rapidly antiquate the whole debate. Already my wife has an
inexpensive device that recognizes fingerprint for login of multiple users.
This one entry isn't quite the same situation, since 3.5 is the file
found at ^%ZIS(1, so I don't believe that it would be necessary to change
the node. FileMan is definitely smart enough to know not to try to
access the file entry it had just deleted. The one that caused you
problems was in a
Well, back from a few days out of town. Boy have things been busy.
I downloaded the latest version of CPRS Jan 05 and tried to connect to
both my server and my other server that Kevin setup this weekend.
No go. Both servers have a listener running on 9200 and 9210 respectively.
CPRS starts,

Kevin asked me a very difficult question(s)
Where am I in my install/config process and what are my goals.
My first goal is getting a ward up on vista.
My ultimate goal is getting an entire university hospital up on vista.
And in a foreign language no less :) !

Is there a firewall blocking your signal? This seems
to be network problem, not a VistA server/CPRS client
problem.
Can you ping the addresses?

It sounds like you have lost your network access, and that needs to be
re-established. That will be done at the OS level. That seems to be job
one at this point. Fix your IP access. The 127.0.0.1 is loop-back and is
only really a place holder for testing.

Has anyone interfaced Mailman using
Cache 5 on OpenVMS? We used to have it working on DSM,
but DSM let you pass in a parameter specifying the
network device. It doesn't appear Cache lets you do this.
I'm wondering if this has been solved, but just hasn't made it into the
documentation yet...
The Generic Inventory Package may have the necessary features.

But don't be too impressed. I don't have a clue what
SCR nodes do. I was just looking for code that
referenced globals without a $get() or $data() guard.

Mark,
Also, have you tried running that RPC connection
broker tester that Nancy outlines in her walk-through.
That would tell you if you have connectivity.

I assume for registration you might be talking all of the roll and scroll and

Office and it will be coming out pretty soon, so you might just punt on that

Can you be a little more specific on what you mean by interfacing Mailman?
I have Mailman running on Cache 5.0.9 and Windows.

What is this in KERNEL SYSTEM PARAMETERS? I see GREEK in the list. I am
mucking around trying to pick up where my error is and I saw this.
From Vista FOIA GOLD source... I seem to note that there are alot more
parameters to set in this version than in the older HUI code.

That's right. The Generic Inventory Package (GIP) within IFCAP includes
the functionality to manage sterilization information, manage case
carts and instrument kits, etc.

Thanks Cameron and Greg for your response on SCCU.
If you don't mind a couple of other questions. Does vista have the
interface with any or all current smartcards? Is there a directory of
medical equipments (labs and imaging etc) that have interfaces to vista
and are these interfaces
I've noticed there's been a lot of discussion of dangling pointers and
other types of database integrity issues at the application level. My
experience has been that these sorts of problems are much more common
than problems at the global level (i.e., in the MUMPS subsystem).
