Greetings Safranim:
I am going to volunteer at a library in a synagogue - there are no
library-trained personnel currently and only one person who has been
volunteering just to keep it open a few hours per week. So far -
there is software to record catalog data - I don't know what it is
yet -

topic. She has gathered a lot of info on the disease - but has not
been able to locate survivor accounts.
If you know of any or know of a good place to look - i would be most
appreciative.

Greetings All!
I have a roommate the 4 - 7 - but due to flight prices (and possibly
making my kids nuts for too many days on the tail end *grin*) I'd
like an extra night at the Fairmont. If you are staying over the

Greetings all:
I was a first-time ALA Conference attendee this year. The Jewish
interest group via EMIERT had two offerings, one of which I was able
to attend (quite good!) I was surprised at the low attendance and the
fact that no one had organized any sort of Shabbat get-together. I

Hello,
I have been absent a long time from the list. I have a
question. Regarding the Torah - What is the tradition or law for a
Torah remaining in a library or museum as opposed to being in a
synagogue or temple? Does it matter if it is in condition for ritual
use or not?
Thank you,
