Actually Reddit just put an audio captcha system in place
today. Curious why it took them so long to do this.

Justin, look through the Google results below in case there's an answer for
you. I note a mention of Reddit's press office. I've found getting their PR

Okay, thanks. But, I don't see how to e-mail them. When I go to contact, I
don't see anyway to e-mail them, not even with the faqs. I'll continue
looking, but if anyone has their e-mail contact, please whare it with me.

You know, I am certain there is a much simpler and faster way of doing this,
but it slip my memory at the moment.
If I find it I will post.
One thing to note, if you are opening ms Word or XL or powerpoint files, you
would have to repeat the steps in each application (or program) for it to
Jorge, this is good information, needless to say. Two qualifications:
First, I'm finding increasingly that instead of pressing alt and f at the same

Hi,
once you're in the file, you can press alt + F, then I, then E. That will
enable editing. The trouble with that is that it only works for that file.
To permanently change this, you need to press alt + f, then up arrow to
options. You will find the options for this in either security or trust
Thanks so much for these steps. I will give them a try.
Thanks again!

If you have it in word, then you can also use control s to save it, then tab
over and hit either the disable protected view or enable saving; I can't
remember which.e of them.

Hi Tammy, I had the step-by-step information how to do this with the
keystrokes, but unfortunately, the computer I had on refuse to boot and I
don't have ms office on this one to repeat the steps, but here is how.
Sorry I can't give the keystrokes.
1. First launch any Office program such as
Tanny, I get those docs from my school. After I open the doc I turn on the
JAWS cursor and go to Enable Editing and place the JAWS cursor on the E in
Enable. Next, I use the PC to JAWS command and editing is enabled and I
save the doc.

Good morning!
I am running Microsoft Office 2013, Jaws 17 & Windows 8.1. When I download
documents, it is in protective view. I have gotten the message that it is
in protected view because it has been downloaded from the internet. Since it
is in this view, I have problems reading it with Jaws.
If you use the Go To command: Control-G and type in the cell coordinates and
press the enter key you will be there.

never found it anywhere.
Great list knowledge as always.

It is fixed, for some reason the main index got deleted yesterday when I did
some uploads. That should not have happened but for some reason it did.
Never the less things are up and running again.

You should email ReddIt's support and request that they
disable that for your account. Just explain you are a screen
reader user and cannot participate on the site do to the
capture image being inaccessible. They will fix this for

It is not on your end because I got the same error. I'll check if it is on
my end and try to fix it. I did some changes yesterday and possibly
something got messed up. I'll report back to the list if it gets resolved.

Control and up arrow moves you up the column - to the top most of the
time. Just repeat the move if you don't get to the top the first time
you use the key combination.
