Hi. I use a little programme called qRead for non-image pdfs most of the time. It loads a lot quicker than Adobe and doesn't crash, so I appreciate it. The programme costs about $30 US as I recall and I don't regret the investment. For image PDFs, I use Adobe Acrobat Pro, which can OCR the

Sharon, You can read a pdf with Adobe reader or Acrobat reader. But Jaws2018 can OCR / scan a pdf, so you donn't need a program. When in explorer select de pdf. Press the application key and press j. The option is: recognise with Jaws. The ressult is not allways even good as with an real pdf

Which version of JAWS are you using? 2018 will handle most PDF files, and a few earlier versions can work with many. Also, do you have Acrobat Reader installed, ideally version DC? Here, you'll want to set online PDF files to open in Acrobat rather than your browser. -Original Message-
